With Forlan being a mere shadow of him former self, I wonder how Uruguay will fare.
They have great players other then him obviously, but in the WC it was clear he was the key man.

Franchise, Forlan was playing really bad in that mediocre club because he had personal problems with the coach.
Did you see him playing against Germany? He showed his class again.

I'll tell you why Uruguay will win this competition. The Argentinian team is full of problems, corruption, problems among the coach and some players, they are not increasing the team's chemistry by playing friendlies with players that have nothing to do with the Copa America.
And Brazil is rebuilding, while Uruguay has been working with this team since 2007, and everybody knows eachother really well. There are no problems among the players and/or coachs and with Forlan in form, we'll cause a headache to any team.
PS: Uruguay is used to win in Argentina.

Uruguay was sleeping for many long years, but fortunatelly, woke up. We'll go to the under-15 worldcup, under-17 Worldcup, under-20 Worldcup, Olympics in London, 4th Place in the worldcup playing a nice attacking football, a team in the Liberators final.

La Vinotinto por siempre, papá!
We're so getting frakked. Brazil as our first match, just to start out nicely .
It's not that we have a bad team, it's our shitty manager! I'm hoping we get raped so he's sacked.

Re: Official Copa America Thread
I'm incredibly confident of our chances. We're at home for one. Also if you have been watching Argentina lately in these friendlies since the world cup the football has been beautiful, a prime example would be against the US in the first half. Vamos Argentina! I want to see Messi lift the Copa!alfredandrew wrote:I wish I were as confident as you guys lol.
