It has been just over a week since Castilla returned to training to prepare for the new Second Division campaign and today they face their first match of the pre-season when they host Getafe B. It will be the first of six friendlies to be played by the subsidiary as they prepare to return to return to the Second Division full of confidence (20:00, Realmadrid TV and Marca TV).

Guadalajara, Albacete, G. Torrelavega, Alcorcón and Recreativo de Huelva will be the subsidiary’s other opponents. Five games in twelve days to get back to race pace with just under a month before the start of official competition, in which whites will play their opener at Villarreal’s stadium, El Madrigal.

Real Madrid’s flight lasted more than 12 hours from leaving the Spanish capital until the players landed at the Los Angeles Airport (LAX). The atmosphere on-board was relaxed. José Mourinho spent time with all the players, speaking animatedly with some of them on more than one occasion and even sharing a joke or two.

The Real Madrid squad’s flight left Barajas a little after 12:30 (local Spanish time) and flew over Santiago de Compostela, Greenland and the Labrador Peninsula in Canada. The players made the most of the long journey by resting, watching films, playing cards, listening to music or reading.

Marca:

First Real Madrid Training in Los Angeles with the presence of the 25 players who have brought this white coach tour.

At the meeting, combined between physical and ball, were present Florentino Perez, Jose Angel Sanchez and Miguel Pardeza.

After the usual technical talk of Mourinho, stretching and muscle strengthening exercises gave way to work combined with the ball.

While Higuain, Di Maria, Lass, Granero, Callejon Varane and exercised by the physical readaptador Carlos Lalin, the remaining 16 field players with whom was Jose Mourinho at the meeting were divided into four groups of four players to compete in various sided games a field of small dimensions.

The gatekeepers Casillas, Adam and Jesus worked with the goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.

Karim Benzema joined Real Madrid training. The French international trained at the same tempo as his team mates in the opening session of the second week of training. Benzema, who played for his country at Euro2012 in Poland and Ukraine, began his holidays on 23rd June after the quarter-final meeting between Spain and France (2-0) and after nearly a month off he is once again available to the manager José Mourinho to start his fourth season as a Whites player.

AS:

Xabi Alonso has not recovered from the sprained right ankle he suffered this morning at the North Athletic Field. The Tolosa did not even field work in the afternoon session on Tuesday and its presence in the Galaxy-Madrid on Thursday is in serious danger . It is not a serious injury, but at this point in season or the player or the medical force are necessary.

A fan asked for an autograph the player repeatedly this morning he left early training session. Xabi, who was sitting in a golf cart, apologized for not signing an autograph: "I stepped wrong." In the afternoon, alone exercised at the gym.

Coentrao, the other low in the afternoon workout

Fabio Coentrao time left before the training session in the afternoon by a small overhead. Like Di Maria and Varane in the day on Monday, the Portuguese accused the demanding pace of work these days and has left the job simple precaution. The Portuguese are working these days only in the left back position, unlike last year where he proved Mourinho midfield and extreme. "People should be patient with him," Pepe said at a news conference.

Real Madrid 2 (Alonso, Khedira) - Santos 1

It was a good display considering the match was played at about 40* celsius and the pitch was terrible.

My Ratings.

1st Half
Casillas - 6
Arbeloa - 5 He let the Santos player off when he was still onside, which resulted in the goal, didn't add a lot to the defense but assisted Alonso's goal.
Varane - 6 Was very steady and didn't make any glaring errors
Albiol- 6
Coentrao - 6 Was good going forward.

Granero - 6
Alonso - 6

Ronaldo - 5 Had a torrid first 25 minutes, but looked a lot more dangerous when he switched wings, sending in some dangerous crosses.
Ozil - 6 Drifted in and out of the game, didn't really stamp his foot on the match
Jese - 5

Higuain 5 - Did very little, but he didn't have a lot of support.

Sub. Alex - 6 He came on for Jese, and got involve in some neat build ups.

2nd Half
Adan - 6

Nacho - 5 Nearly gave away a goal, with a sloppy pass to Pepe, which was intercepted but Adan was on hand to save the ensuing shot on goal.
Pepe - 5 Got involved in some unnecessary bust ups.
Ramos - 6
Sahin - 6 Was very good at left back, spraying passing and making tackles when he was called into action.

Lass - 5
Khedira - 6

Kaka - 6 Was quite impressive and linked up very well with Morata and Benzema.
Morata- 6.5 Another impressive performance from the former Castilla player, he linked up well with Benzema and Kaka and troubled the opposition keeper on a few occasions.

Benzema - 7 A man of the match performance from the Frenchman, he dictated play in the second half. The opposition defense could just not handle him, all that was missing was a goal but it was his saved shot that was deflected on Khedira for the winning goal.

MILAN – Massimiliano Allegri appears to have already decided who will start against Real Madrid.

Milan’s line-up shoud be: Abbiati; Abate, Bonera, Acerbi, Antonini; Nocerino, Ambrosini, Flamini; Cassano, Boateng, Robinho.

Fantastic match against Milan 5-1 the final score, Ronaldo with a brace, Callejon, Ramos and Di Maria with one each.

My man of the match was Kaka, if this was his job interview for Milan, then he's passed with flying colours - 3 assists in the 30 minutes or so on the pitch.

Di Maria and Ronaldo make up the other three top players for Madrid. Once again I'm so impressed with Alvaro Morata, Madrid has found a gem in Morata.
