Is Liverpool hitting woodwork 30 times bad luck or bad finishing?

Both, but I would say bad finishing more than anything else.

luck plays a part sure, but so many misses are down to bad finishing too imo

There's no composure around the penalty area at all, class players dont do that average players do.

My opinion is that their squad/starting 11 lacks prolific goal scorers.You need to balance your starting 11.

Or may be liverpool got no good finishers at all in their squad.

If you do this over the space of a few weeks its bad luck..... but to consistently hit the bar or post over a season is just plain bad finishing.

You're right (at least on the second half). Hitting the post is missing the target. There's certainly some luck involved (an inch or two the other direction and it rebounds into the goal), but to consistently hit the woodwork is to consistently miss the target.

What is encouraging is the fact that we create some many of those chances. This is one reason many Liverpool supporters believe we are a few good finishers away from a dangerous side. To be fair to management, this year's team was built around the creation of chances. It was assumed Kuyt, Carroll and Suarez would be much more prolific than they ended up being. Suarez turned into more of a creator than finisher, Kuyt has been woeful and it's really hard for Carroll to score from the bench. Replace Kuyt and Maxi with goal-scoring wide forwards, and play Suarez as a false nine and next season could be fun to watch.

(I know. I know. Ever the optimist... )

There is no bad luck when shooting for the whole season.

It's poor finishing.
