Fifa 12: Tips on finishing?

Hey guys, can anyone give me some advice on how to improve my finishing? Seems like when I lose a lot of the time is because of not taking chances well enough, I'm using fully assisted shooting atm

Try manual shooting: maybe you can get more control out of your shots. Maybe assisted shooting overcalculates and makes you miss target?

I think I'm shooting it too close to the goalkeeper or something because they save it alot. I'll try changing it to assisted and do some unranked matches or something

i shoot with power or chip the goalie,works pretty well for me shooting semi assisted

A lot of people are saying it's because FIFA is scripted. Hence a lot of goals are scored at 45 mins, 90 mins and after your opponent has just scored.

I like to use finesse shots in FIFA... angle my player and bend it to a corner of the net. seems to work well and you can score some great goals from long range.

works very well close range too, especially in one on ones.

if you run straight at the keeper, finesse shot and curl it to the side he is naturally footed past the keeper.

If you have no time to finish chip/lob it at the same time the keeper goes down to take the ball from your feet

if the keeper is running out simply lob it.

if comming in from an angled position just shot it straight near into the post, this is also the way to score goals from range but need to have been sprinting.

also you can finesse shot/curl the ball if you are in difficult angles inside and outside the box and moving slow/standing still

put it gently in the corner

My finishing is good in the H2H, online team play, but terrible in Pro Clubs. Goalkeeper saves my shots or I get tackled just as I'm about to shoot. Makes me cry inside.

Maybe I should continue improving my pro player. He's 74 now, but I got outrun by a defender today in Clubs. Made me pissed and led me to rage-foul the opposition again and again. Wish we could punch an opposition player and get a red card.

Yeah improve your pro and that will happen less

finishing in FIFA 12 is a lot like having sex:

If you try to power it in there, while it might work once in a awhile, more often than not it just causes pain and headaches.... but if you take your time and just gently slot it in then its pleasurable for everyone
