A lot of UAE players are fasting yet they're still beating the crap out of Uruguay lol.

Spain were terrible, bar some very sloppy finishing from Japan, the match could easily have ended 5-0 or worse.

Javi Martinez still remains one of the most overrated players in my books, he's nothing special, the full backs of Spain, Alba and Montoya were equally bad.

They'll have to play better than this or risk crushing out in the group stages.

That Omar Abdul-Rahman apparently had two injuries to his cruciate ligaments, so that might explain why he hasn't moved to Europe. Espanyol were interested at one point.

He's looking great at the moment, though. Maybe they'll be more interest after this tournament.

I'm not sure about the others. I know Ahmed Khalil has had interest, but perhaps hasn't progressed as thought. That's about it.

What Cavani adds to this team is priceless. He has like having another midfielder, the tatical stability he adds is immense, the pressure he puts is amazing.Cavani is not technically gifted, or orthodox, but hes monster of a pplayer. Hes the once that sacrifices himself so guys like suarez, lodeiro, and ramirez cna play their game

UAE played well. I could only watch the first half but Omar Abdulrahman and Ismael Matar and Ahmed Eisa were perfect.

Ismael Matar has won the Asian player in the year once or twice before, he also dragged UAE to Gulf Cup glory almost single-handedly. Ahmed Khalil won the best young Asian player of the year, so he's great too.

UAE also won the U19 Asian Cup a few years ago, so a lot of players from that team were playing today. And a lot of the players were fasting, so they can all hold their heads up high in the end.

Really impressed with UAE, although Uruguay held out in the end. They have nothing to be ashamed of, that was a great performance, although you could clearly see they were pretty tired at the end of the game. The fasting may have something to do with that.
