Inter bemoan 'crazy' transfer market

Inter are keen to rebuild their squad in order to take back the Serie A title they lost to rivals Milan this season and have been linked with big money moves for both South Americans over recent weeks. However, with one eye on UEFA's financial fair play regulations, Inter are tightening their belt, which means they have missed out on some star talent.

"Tevez is a great player, a great character, but absolutely no,'' Branca told BBC Sport. ''His salary means it is out of the question. The market is crazy at the moment and it is hard to compete. He is a great player but a move for him is out of the question. We have to organise our finances for the financial fair play rules in the next two years.

"We don't have the same revenues from merchandise and match day as the English sides. We are looking for younger players now with great talent, who we can develop."

Branca also admitted that Inter have been priced out of deals for Sanchez.

"Take [Udinese winger] Alexis Sanchez, a player we liked," he said. "Manchester City raised their bid for him to €35 million plus a bonus, which ruled us out of the race. In the end, the player preferred to go to Barcelona and they got him for €28 million and a €10 million bonus. Not many clubs can afford that."

Their main concern should be keeping all their star players.And appointing a decent coach

much depends on who they are willing to sell..maybe if they sell eto'o or sneijder ,they could raise substantial amt of money and use that to buy probably giuseppe rossi..

but somehow i feel ,inter will appoint an 'interim' sort of coach on a one year contract , hire guardiola in 2012 and then i think inter would unleash themselves on the market..thats my feeling

Pastore? With Sniejder I don't see the point unless they play a 4321 type formation.

Maybe its better to forget any expensive players and really do a youth movement, like the quote suggests.

Taking time, patience, excellent coaching and even better scouting though. Its easier said then done.
