Re: Rossi F*Cked again
Oh.my goodness. How bad can this news possibly be? Rossi for me was a starting choice for Italia as I cannot be more upset by this unfortunate news as this will effect not only Italia's Euro's but his bright future career as a whole.
Villarreal, is now not just a ugly dilapidated and industrial town, but one that has a club whose medics are worse than a Marbella clinic.
What an absolute joke. Who the **** works there?

Re: Rossi F*Cked again
Villarreal made the mistake of their short lived top club career last summer when they rejected Rossi offers and got rid of Cazorla.

Re: Rossi F*Cked again
Boy i'm all broken up about this news.
I hope he doesn't plan on coming to the States to get any treatment.
Traitors get what they deserve.
I don't wish injury on anyone but I will make an exception in his case.
And yes, I will fully admit I am "butt hurt" so there's really no reason to point it out.

Re: Rossi F*Cked again
that sucks.... i was so looking forward to seeing rossi play for italy.
he is the player i miss the most this season, last year he was banging goals here and there.
what exactly is the cause?
well atleast should villarreal decide to sell him atleast price should be a bit down.

With Dempsey's form and the up and coming talent the US has... Rossi could have been the focal point of our offense. Could have made an incredible impact on US soccer, but no.... Decided to go play for Italy, who has plenty of world class attacking options.
Between that and our damn youth coaches not selecting Subotic.... huge facepalm

i kinda share your sentiments except the wishing injury part. would've been immense if he had chosen to represent us at the NT

Yep and it's pretty much been a disaster for him ever since. If I remember correctly Italy didn't even bring him to the World Cup.
With him we would have an attacking trident of Dempsey, Donovan and Rossi with Altidore coming off the bench which he should be. Backed up be a decent midfield and defense and a great keeper. It just infuriates me that he lived here his whole life and then chose to go play for Italy when we need him desperatley and he is pretty much what we have been lacking.
Good for him, he can rot in Italy for all I care. It would probably one of the handful of times he's ever been there.
BTW, I'm not taking a shot at Italy in any way so I hope the Italy supporters don't take it that way.

That'll end our interest in him then.
I do feel for him though...hope he recovers. It's all about getting better now.

Re: Rossi F*Cked again
So not only is he a ridiculously overrated player that Cazorla made look good, he's injury prone too?
Interesting.
Interesting.

Re: Rossi F*Cked again
To be fair to him, he was never injured this much when he was with Parma and his early United days. So injury prone is a bit harsh on him.

It always starts with one injury tbf 2 serious injuries in a row is never a good sign.

Re: Rossi F*Cked again
There was a time when folks thought Totti was injury prone pre and post-WC 2006.
Though by the same train of thought, we could consider Stu Holden as injury prone as well. Though it wasn't his fault he got injured in the first place (looking at you, De Jong).

True enough, i mean Ben Arfa came back under similar circumstances ( De Jong again )
It will take alot of mental strength to come back tho, i know i said he's overrated and i stand by that but dont like to see anyone injured and i hope he comes back to a decent level.

Guys don't be so pissed at him. Growing up in the states doesn't mean being patriotic to the states. His heart was in Italy, his parents were Italian, he probably grew up rooting for Italy. If my kids are born in the states, trust me, they will be Argentina fans, no question.
Career wise, he should have played for the states...it really would have made him big.
