LOL why don't you at least do some research? Yaya is on EVERY SINGLE "highest paid players" list in the top 10 on basically any website you can find. I'm not saying whether he deserves his pay or not. Just correcting you.

But if you believe everything in the papers, here are quotes from two of the most respected.

There probably is a possibility that Ade is on £225k/week, but I would bet my mortage that the £65k above the reported £160k salary is made up of performance bonuses, image rights, team performance bonuses and if the stars align and he scores a hat-trick every game and we win the quadruple he'd get the equivalent of that.

Reading that article, I get the feeling that Ade was simply making fun of how a City player's wages is always in the spotlight, and more often than not highly exaggerated...To manipulate what was essentially a joke into a serious article and a warning to Ade shows how low Redknapp is willing to go to get a bargain deal out of him...Rather than moaning/boasting about how low the wage structure is at Spurs, maybe its time they start increasing it to attract better players?

Our ex-chairman, Gary Cook (who I've met several times, btw, awesome bloke) has said publicly several times, that the wages often purported in the media tend to be seriously off the mark.

LOL I REALLY REALLY don't want RVP... To old and injury prone. We got that new RVP, John Guidetti, coming in the fall from the Dutch league. Kid should be good.

I disagree.

He's very strong, and makes intelligent runs.

With the service that Silva, Nasri, Yaya, Hazard, etc could potentially provide, I think he would be a good young player for us.

All strikers thrive off of good service, and Guidetti is an excellent finisher.
