AS Roma and Simone Perrotta have agreed to extend the player's contract with the club.

A.S. ROMA S.P.A. and SIMONE PERROTTA have come to an agreement on a one year extension on an economic sporting contract which was set to expire on June 30th, 2012.

The agreement will see Perrotta receive 2.6 million euros for the current season and 2.6 million euros for the 2012-2013 season, over and above individual bonuses based on both on predetermined sporting objectives on the part of the club and on the player's appearances in diverse competitions.

He's not got the legs anymore so he's behind our current starting 3 plus Simplicio and Greco. It's a good move though as he's our 3rd captain and is a important figure in the dressing room behind DDR and Totti. He did well at full-back when call upon as well too.

^Agreed, I don't mind keeping him for next season. You can't come across that kind of experience easily, especially on our team. He's still reliable enough to give us some depth.
