'Online' means online imo.

There is no untapped market. There are 3 genres where MP games excel. MMORPG, FPS, Sports. All of those markets are dominated by games such as Cod/Battlefield, Fifa/Pes/NBA/McFadden etc and few MMORPG which you have never heard of.

There is no reason for anyone to try make a game which no one will play. Even great franchises like MGS tried online and didn't work since people play Cod/BF online for shooters. No new football game ever will compete with Fifa or Pes.

They don't even work on the Campaign much. They can't make a better MP game when they have poor developers.

Dying Light is hailed to be the next great MP game(although MT won't like it since it depends on patience and skills, like TLOU did). It is already picking up heat and might turn out to be 'elite'

Evolve is another. Probably even more hype around this one.

Battlefield Hardline should surpass AW in terms of MP if EA have proper servers this time

'Tom Clancy’s: The Division' is based purely on MP.

If you don't like any of them mt, then the problem lies with you imo hmm

Anyway and I thought about it and there wasn't even many good multiplayer games last gen anyway atleast imo.

Ones I enjoyed were Red Dead Redemption, Gears of War, GTA V, Uncharted 2, TLOU, MW2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

It's a Coop kinda game. heard you and 3 others survive an open world while hunting for stuff etc.

WHAT IS DYING LIGHT?
Dying Light is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression - but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.

The Co-Op Experience
Up to 4 players can work together to survive the zombie apocalypse. PS4 will have various features included in the DualShock 4 controllers, such as the ability to alert zombies to players by shouting into it.

Description
Players are thrown into a open world environment amidst a zombie outbreak. Using various tools, weapons, and parkour skills, players must work as a team to survive. A predominant Day-Night cycle will heavily dictate the way zombies behave.

I have already given you the list of high profile MP games lol. As close to elite as you are going to get till 2016/17

It's not a bold statement. It's based on statistics and history. There are only enough games which they can make. There is no reason for innovation to exist when it comes to deciding between focusing on which aspect of gaming. They put both in. People still play MP on a lot of games. But not many care about elite MP games lol because what's elite to them isn't elite to you.

What can you really predict that will change?

Like I said, I'm not asking for pure MP games with no SP. Just games that focus more on MP over SP, or at least have meaningful MP game modes. There might be MP fans like me out there who aren't being catered to like SP fans are.

Sure, there may only be a limited amount of categories that MP games can fit into, but they can still fill those categories with a variety of different games.

GTA has free roam, RDR has free roam, both are multiplayer, both goat games. Make similar games. It doesn't matter if they were intended to be SP games or not. The developers managed to create a gratifying MP experience.

What about Gran Turismo and NFS? Right now the online aspect of those games aren't considered goat. But what if one year everything fell into place, they got the game modes right and it suddenly appealed to more people?

Basically I don't care how the developers do it and I don't care what genre, just make more goat MP games. hmm

I can't decide which game is ~~better~~ worse between Ghosts and AW. I hated Ghosts, but I'm pretty sure I continued to play that game for longer than a week. It's highly unlikely that I'll get another Call of Duty game anytime soon, unless Infinity Ward gets it right with their next game.

Nah, I didn't think TLOU was garbage. Just those types of games aren't really my cup of tea. Also I felt the game was more about the single player. Online was lacking in depth and was more of a side thing.
