Call of Duty: Ghosts
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the next game in the Call of Duty series set to release in 2013. The new Infinity Ward team has been working on an entirely new storyline and engine, which is said to bring Call of Duty to the next Generation. Ghosts will be available on both the Current Systems, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. At Microsoft's Xbox reveal conference, Activision announced that Xbox One owners will receive timed DLC exclusives.
Infinity Ward promises to make this Call of Duty much more character and story-driven and, above all, visually and technically impressive. In Ghosts, America is in a state of dishevel, and Ghosts are an elite military squad.

Crap. It's just for the money at this point.
Especially considering if there are next gen consoles "first CoD on Next Gen"
It's going to be meh

Modern Warfare 4.
MW2 was the best COD game imo. If they have similar maps, guns etc, then it should be a good game. MW3 has similar maps, but it doesn't have any notable maps like Highrise, Skidrow, Favela etc etc. MW3 has Terminal, however that's from MW2.

Absolutely f*cking ridiculous there's about 20 games ( and that's being nice) that are released every year which have more reason to be excited about.
Have not bought a CoD game since MW2 and i don't plan on changing now.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
What if the next generation consoles came out by then and it was released for that?
And the game might not be called MW4, since COD 4 has a similar title.

It's the sensible thing to do to milk it as long as you can, but obviously that's just what they're doing, milking it. I don't think anyone in the company believes they're actually going to be offering something new and mind blowing.
I still play CoD 1 - United Offensive regularly online.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Youtube user Matroix has pulled some information from a source that he believes to be accurate. He notes, “It’s very exciting news, indeed.”
One of the new features that he expects to be in the upcoming game is a “slide” akin to that of Call of Duty’s “Dolphin Dive,” in which the player jumps forward into a prone position while sprinting. What separates the Dolphin Dive from the new one is that players slide on their knees rather than their stomach, and can shoot mid-slide. This sounds like something out of The Matrix to us, but maybe it will fit into competitive play well.
Another movement-based ability that he thinks may be in the next game is an addition to the “prone” position that gamers have come to know so well. In this movement, the player can roll from side to side while staying in the prone position. This would come as a welcome change to gameplay, as right now gamers have to stand up, turn around and run if they are found to be at a disadvantage.
Lastly, but certainly not least, is something that isn’t necessarily new. The ability to lean out from cover has been present on the PC iterations of Call of Duty since the first Modern Warfare game. For some reason, it’s been left out of the console versions. This simple movement will be making its way to consoles in the next Call of Duty game, according to Matroix’s source.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Not excited by any means but CoD with 4 or 5 friends can be a good laugh and even fun providing there's no easy exploits or really shit maps.
I think in recent times too much air support has ruined the game. Which leads to people abusing anti-air support perks because if they don't, they'll get hammered.
Constant uav streams and air gunning choppers is just annoying.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Oh joy another Modern Warfare...now with a new SC-20k with designs! Don't forget we haven't improved the graphics, physics or anything remotely different!
I used to think Infinity ward was better than Treyarch, but with the rather innovative BOII of last year, Treyarch are miles ahead in terms of making a game that actually interests you.
It would be better if COD users just realize that Crysis (1 or 3 etc) is miles ahead of COD in every single aspect of the word.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
My sources tell me that the next COD won't be MW4. :Gil: But I've read that they'll save that for next gen..
I'm so bored of this series at this point, my friends continue to be hooked, but meh, it just isn't doing enough new things to keep me interested. I can kind of understand their hesitance to mess with something that obviously works, but I'm pretty sure the last COD, which I discarded in record time (for me personally) was my last. I adored World At War and Modern Warfare, but It's time to say adios to the COD franchise for me.

inb4 I'm playing day 1

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
It seems they're not going to continue MW series but this game will be like MW with a new name, can't see Infinity Ward making drastic changes in such a short time, probably not worth the risk too, maybe a better graphic but gameplay won't change much.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
I guess it's alright judging it by previous CoD's , nothing amazing tho , i need more footage , because this barely looks better than BF3 in my eyes and that doesnt sound right ...
And what's up with the fish ? They move out of the way ? Wow i saw things like that happen when i was playing Ecco the Dolphin on my dreamcast in 2000.
And lol at the guy being so excited about being able to jump over barricades , like that's something groundbreaking that never happened in games ...
They must be joking

Jumping over barricades was just one of many examples of how they've improved the maneuverability in this game. Apparently, they've been trying to make the player feel less stationary by adding actions that you can make while on the run, as well as when you're standing still. The fishes moving out of the way example was rather lame Dynamic environments sounds interesting. It's hardly anything new, but interesting nonetheless.
