Re: Real Madrid Midfield
Granero needs 2 more years to become a proper midfielder. Alonso is technically limited and in steady decline. Lass is really bad. Sahin? We'll never know until he plays but at BVB his talent was unquestionable. Khedira is the only complete midfielder in our ranks but he is technically limited.
All in all, the central midfield is very average to bad depending on Alonso's form. Ozil and Di Maria compensate for our sorry midfield

Spoken as a true madrista...
I actually think, Madrid need a new face in central midfield and start Sahin instead of useless Lass or Granero.
Hands off Alex Song!!!

Giving him the benefit of the doubt because of his performances last season.

What? Sorry maybe i'm blind but I didn't see where I said Chelsea have a better midfield? Or do you just like being a douche for no reason?

Re: Real Madrid Midfield
Funny enough, I suggested him as Lass' replacement in chatbox. RG was in immediate panic like '... Denilson is much better, get him!...'highburied wrote:Immortal Babun wrote:Granero needs 2 more years to become a proper midfielder. Alonso is technically limited and in steady decline. Why do you think so? Will they racially abuse him or what?

Re: Real Madrid Midfield
Lass is useless in midfield much better suited to RB but hates to play there and his contract is up end of season and I will be glad to see the end of him.
Granero is a great squad player good for depth nothing more, could never be a starter for us.
Sahin is excellent but I feel he won't get a real opportunity till next season
Now for Xabi Alonso easily our best midfielder and our most important but has been showing the signs of fatigue lately. Been carrying alot of the burdens of Real Madrid's midfield on his own.
Sami Khedira is our next best midfielder and unfortunately the only one next to Xabi Alonso who understands the importance of transition from defence to attack, technically and tactically superior to Lass, his talents can be seen in his performances against Malaga and Lyon this season. His aerial presence is also great in defence and can be noticed when he does not play. Just compare how many set piece goals we have conceded while he was on the field to when he was not.
Needs to stop getting injured though :-(
Our midfield is not that good compared to most in the world, that is why Ozil has been asked quite alot this year to play deeper and help out and why when Marcelo plays we often use him as an outlet and auxiliary LM player. But thats the problems of a 2 man midfield

Re: Real Madrid Midfield
alonso is one of the best in the world.. sahin well, hasnt played much this season but is a very very good player, he won the best player in the bundesliga so cant be shit.. lass ,well he is all right, can have good games when he doesnt get involved but often tries to dribbler, play make and really affect our attacking play negatively
khedira is a very good player, dont contribute much in attack but keeps passing ,moving the ball, also has very good stamina
granero is a very good squad player but i am personally not a huge fan of him.. doesnt really do much
