Why is Sahin being ostracized?

I sense something fishy about the Sahin situation. RM buys one of the most promising youngsters in europe but he's made a grand total of one sub appearance? Most times he's not even on the bench. Why? I've heard a bunch of reasons from rm fans but it seems theyre trying to rationalize the absurd. Some bring up that xabi needs a dm beside him. Then why has mou go with granero, who's nohing special on defense? They also say he's being kept for the future as xabi's long term replacement, but they cant give him minutes when madrid is up 2-0 against granada at home? I think there's a much more simple reason(occam's razor). Mou is a great manager but he's human and made some stubborn decisions. he's got his favorites and player's he simply never got on with. For whatever reason mou simply does not like sahin, like wright-phillips, mutu, joe cole and others before him. Now what is nuri to do? If he was 19 we could say he is potential and he should wait for his chance, but hes 23-24. The same age where cron and messi were making a quantum leap in their development. I say for his own good he's gotta get out and back to first team football.

Yeah, so anyway, he still has fitness issues. No one knows the extent of it, but Mourinho apparently refused to put him under the stress of the last month. The club is not filtering much about it because it's mourinho's general policy, and there is also a need to keep his mental up, not an easy time for him. All those rumors about Dortmund wanting him back are BS, and the rumor about him being frozen out is indeed unfounded. He has just been very unlucky with his body. The OP is very misinformed, but it's normal since there are only rumors out there.

Like i said, we dont know ourselves, but it's not a case of Mourinho banning him. He has had cases of relapse with his knee injury in the summer and shortly after the season started, so we are only guessing that he didnt feel well, and they didnt risk anything. He did play a full copa game during which he looked great, but after the break nothing. A report filtered last night that he would be getting some minutes against Levante if things go accordingly. If he does, then it's a confirmation of what i just said, otherwise, even us dont know, because very little filters about the players. you understand how pissed mou was when his little rift got out...

If I were a troll I'd take this as the perfect opportunity to note Madrid's reputation as a club where careers go to die

Indeed. Last I read about it in a Kloppo interview was that Kloppo usually has good contact with his ex-players, but not to recall them one day, just to see how they do in their new clubs.
Moreover, Dortmund now has regrouped and does nicely in BL and DFB Pokal again even without Sahin.

Injuries are a huge factor here.
When he's fully fit, I'm sure he will become a key member of the 1st team.

Also bear in mind, there is nobody in the starting line-up who's playing too poorly right now. The RM first XI is not easy to break into...

I dont know much on Sahin so apologies, but were injuries a consistent concern when he was at Dortmund (and before) or is this a new thing?

Why his talent is undeniable? He is still has to do anything at a serious league. (Bundesliga is not a serious league, it's a second-level-feeder-league, like the french league).

Unfortunately the "second-rate feeder league" BL took the 4th CL spot from Italy, the German NT that is formed from players that mostly play in the BL is currently ranked 3rd in the world, and in the EL and CL the last and this season so far German teams usually kicked out the Spanish teams they met. So I can only surmise that you mainly blindly reiterate certain old prejudices that are still trotted out by people who are permanently stuck in the past and don't look beyond their own nose.

Mentioning Spanish teams wouldn't bother the Liberated Feline much since Spain isn't his country. However, calling the Bundesliga a 2nd rated feeder league is stupid on his part
