Why is Sneijder Ostracized ?

Inter are not willing to meet his wage demands, and he is being a little b*tch. I agree with Inter, he is useless and his time is up, they should have sold him to Man U when they came, big mistake by Inter.

Wikipedia says his current contract extends until 2015, is that correct?
If it is, why would Inter even be that keen on giving him a new deal?

sneijder is being blackmailed into taking a paycut.. inter should have sold him a year ago when they had the chance.

Of course it's the clubs right but if they want to terminate the contract they'll have to pay up.... why else are they trying to force him to sign a reduced wage contract?

They have no power to terminate his contract without paying up the remainder of the contract at the weekly wages previously agreed and signed by them.

That's why stupid clubs like Man City have problems getting rid of the likes of Adebayor and Wayne Bridge because they offer stupid wages without thinking. At the end of the day if they are so against Sneijder earning this much to the point that they are trying to force him to take a pay cut they shouldn't of offered him whatever stupid wages he's on in the first place.

Club has no ''rights'' to terminate contract with out paying more than or equal to the contract value.

He won't agree a new contract with lower wages,that is the issue here,and Inter gave him an ultimatum that he either signs a new contract with lower wage (4.5 mill a year instead the 6 he's getting now) or he's getting sold.

The problem is when they have a good season they go NEED MOAR MONEYZ and want new contracts but when they play like shite then they don't come asking for lesser contracts.

Has Sneijder been a 6 million per year player since 09?NO.

You're wrong here, Devi, clubs nor players have no right what-so-ever to terminate contracts one-sidedly. Furthermore, players don't get paid what they deserve, they get paid what their contract says, which has been agreed upon by both sides, and so it should be.

If this really is about Inter trying to lower his wages then this is nothing but sad from the club.

Its been proven this is not the case. Professor Stefan Symanszki did a regression analysis in which he found out that a clubs expenditure on wages accounts for 90% of the variation on the league table, the more you spend (on wages) determines how high you end up finishing on the league table.

Or in other words, the wage market in football is highly efficient and you earn more the better you are. Yes there are exceptions here and there, but the market quickly takes care of it. It makes total sense when you consider that there is a big pool of buyers and sellers, employers have a lot of liberty to move and the employees skills are transparent for all to see.

As far as Sneijder goes, did you know he earns 6.5m euros a year and he wanted 200,000 a week at Manchester United? Inter we're ready to sell but United didn't want to pay that kind of wages. As it stands he is one of the highest earners in Serie A and the best payed in the team by far. Inter can no longer afford his wages.

I agree the club isn't treating him with the utmost respect, but before he gets all butthurt he should consider that whatever happens he's getting a paycut. If he leaves no one is going to pay those kinds of wages, especially not Milan. If he stays he's signing a new contract or he's going to see his minutes get severely diminished as they are right now.

actually no they have every right to terminate the contract for the sum negoatiated between the player and the club or pay him the remaining sum of money that's left but if he has clauses which I am sure he has in the contract the value can be even lower. Every club has protection clauses in the contracts

Let me get this straight...

Inter wants to reduce wages --> Sneijder doesn't want to reduce his wages --> Inter will probably sell him --> and somehow Milan are going to pay to bring him to the club and maintain Sneijder's high wages whilst already having the highest wage bill in Serie A?

So he asked for a higher wage after a great season,why isn't he asking for a lower wage after 2 shite seasons?

lol his wages were the issue when we wanted to buy him last year, there was no way he was going to get more then Rooney (our highest payed player), I bet he is regretting not leaving now, probably wouldn't of had to take as big a paycut as Inter are asking him to take now, and he would be playing Champions League football too.

I could see us buying him on the cheap now, and him taking a slightly smaller pay cut then what Inter are asking him to take.

it's far fetched, but it would be a good piece of business if the price was right
