Re: Milan-Arsenal,15-2-2012
i think 4-0 win is great for us, but we still got 90 mins to play, so proud of our own players tonight but i m not getting carried away just yet ... we still got 90 mins to play , and we know how dangerous Arsenal can be when they are at their best.
plus arsenal will have gervinho possibly wilshere and lot other players back.
we got main players like cassano out for season, pato out of shape. so lot of hardwork left.
but props, appreciation to everyone from our side, incl. coach fans, our posters...
thanks arsenal posters for ur kind appreciation, but still man 90 mins to play

Re: Milan-Arsenal,15-2-2012
Milan wasn't good, Arsenal was just bad.
Lyon, Leverkusen, Benfica, Zenit would of all done exactly the same thing to us tonight.
The tie is over and I hope we send out a young side in the 2nd leg and rest up players like RVP, Vermaelen.

That a lie. Give Milan the credit they deserve. The goals were excellent crafted and all of them showed quality.

It's the first time in CL history that Arsenal lose by 4 goals.

Re: Milan-Arsenal,15-2-2012
The first goal was quality the rest were poor defence, no tracking the midfield didn't track any runs, Milan players were shooting at will from outside the box as they were never closed down. Milan played the same balls over the top we tried to play them offside but the Milan forwards jut timed their runs better while we stood their holding our hands up for offside.
No tactical changes to adapt to the balls over the top, no closing down and no tracking the runs from the midfield.
Not taking credit away just saying that you can't deny that the match was one sided due to how bad Arsenal played.
I guess the bright side is we have donated some money to Milan so they can fix their pitch.

Have you considered becoming a commentator for Fox Soccer Channel?

Build up play was great and I think it overwhelmed Arsenal. We pressed hard when we lost the ball and it seemed to force Arsenal into making turnovers. I don't think we were watching the same game, quit trying to take away from the performance Milan put in tonight.

Same can be said for us, we don't create threads or post baiting other fans when they lose, yet we still get it on the neck in this forum after a defeat. You called me out last time for saying the very same thing you are right now.
It's how the gen section is I'm afraid.

Zealous wrote:A more cohesive unit I would guess. Allegri has them well drilled.
I personally think Arsenal's chances of victory will depend on:
a) Whether their CB's can keep at least one clean sheet in the tie. I'm talking about the gritty dirty work, corners, rebounds, half chances etc.
b) How well their fullbacks go forward to create 2v1 situations.
Milan play narrow and like Arq has mentioned they struggle against teams with natural width... something spuds had last year (Although Milan could have won that tie if it wasn't for some bad luck) Width is also something Arsenal have this year (and pretty much every year since Wenger took the helm).
However Allegri will probably know this as well. I expect some sort of tactical set up that would help Milan overcome that. What that would be is up for debate, personally I would expect them to press early on like they did vs Barcelona. Try to force a mistake and then defend some sort of lead until the game ends.

No Kos should be benched with Mertesacker and Vermaelen starting, Santos gives us a lot of pace and helps us in the final third, he has scored twice this season in 15 appearances, and made the 2nd most successful tackles in the group stage and is our best LB.
Ox was subbed in yes, but Wenger apparently didn't START him because of the pitch.

The pitch excuse is pretty stupid considering we were moving the ball through the wings plenty of times.

He asked apart from Gervinho and Wilshere who from the 1st 11 didn't play so I answered his question.
Can you tell me where the excuse is so I can fix it, as there is no excuse for losing 4-0.

LOL iam not suprised by this the whole of England think of Italy is a shite league and disrespect it at every opportunity.....
The amount of times i have Italy is the downslide and not a very goos standard this season alone is
Especially when you consider how much better Serie A is this year compared to even 2 years ago and probably is one of the most competitive leagues in the whole of europe, only Bundesliga compares tbh.
It makes me cringe everytime i hear it, iam like do you actually watch the league or you just making stupid and baseless comments again?

Haha like Lex said, no one in England actually takes this paper seriously, who else would be stupid to write something like that after Serie A were the only league to have 3 teams in knockout stages, one of them being Napoli who got through the group of death, knocking out City.
