Re: Milan 2011-2012 Fixture List
Wow I just realized the 2nd leg of the derby is the 2nd last match of the season. If we haven't settled the scudetto by then, that could be one hell of a game.

Re: Milan 2011-2012 Fixture List
the derby was at one hell of a crucial time this year. the fact is that beating inter needs to be done, not just for pride, but to win the Scudetto every season these days.

Re: Milan 2011-2012 Fixture List
My only complaint is that the second derby, being so close to the end of the season, could be completely meaningless which would be disastrous. Other than that, it doesn't really matter when you play who as you play everyone twice sooner or later and all the talk about getting off to a good start is just nonsense. Who remembers our start to last season?

Lazio, Udinese, Napoli and Juventus all in a month's time damn! But damn, why is the derby so late?

Yea, Juve have this "rough block" right in the center really. You guys seem to experience it earlier in the season.
The good news is you have a promotion team before and after the derby.
Bad news is with the exception of the Cesena game, there is about a month of headaches.

Re: Milan 2011-2012 Fixture List
Honeslty, I can't see us coming away with 3 points against Lazio on Matchday 2
Allegri will only have one Serie A game to gage Lazio's whole system and with Klose and Hernanes. I think a draw or a loss is not out of the question.
But if we can beat them then, then I think we could do pretty good for that whole month

And Reja will have one Serie A game to gauge Milan's whole system and with Motolivo and possibly Ganso. It's at the San Siro, think we'll grind out a win. I think we will stumble against Napoli.

Yeah but when was the last time Milan had an excellent start (first 5 games) to the season?

We have been experiencing bad starts to the season after Calciopoli because we had a s88t squad and Allegri was a new coach and introducing his system took time, now that is not the case. We have good players and Allegri is no longer new after an year of coaching Milan.
