Kucka to join Milan in 2012

Future collaboration between Milan & Genoa: Juraj Kucka will replace Mark Van Bommel in season 2012-2013. Agreement already reached.

JURAJ KUCKA will join AC Milan next summer, reports suggest.

The summer of 2011 is just at its start but Milan are already working on next summer’s coups, reaching an agreement with Genoa over Juraj Kucka, reports the Rome-based sports daily il Corriere dello Sport.

Five midfielders will be out of contract next summer and the Rossoneri have identified the replacement of Mark Van Bommel (34) and Massimo Ambrosini (34) in the shape of the 24-year-old Slovakian.

It appears that there is an open discussion between the two clubs and Milan managed to agree a deal for Kucka while dealing with the Rossoblu starlet Stephan El Shaarawy (18) who joins Milan on co-ownership.

Kucka impressed Coach Massimiliano Allegri since joining Serie A in January.

Dunno. Will be sure to watch his next seasons' performances more closely.

I don't see any point in that transfer. He is nothing special, he is not so young, and who knows what will the market be next summer and who will be available. May be next summer some world class midfielder will be available on the cheap and we grab him, so no need to sign Kucka so early. I don't think that we have really signed him or anything I just think that there might have been a talk between Galliani and Preziosi and now we have a first option on him or something like that.
If we are going to sign players now, which will join us next summer it should be Neymar and Lucas Marcelinho.

neymar doesnt fit in our system and will probably go to madrid.

Calvano is going to be the heir of Van Bommel, not Kucka.

I don't think this guy is worth it. Not world class, not great.

I really think Calvano will heir Van Bommel as well, people are saying Kucka will be the replacement to Ambrosini, but who know that's one year away. I think he is a good player, but this season if he came he would no play, this is Van Bommel's last season on top of his game, then after that the position is up for grabs.

He will be promoted, I'm not saying start him straight away. First, a few sub appearances, then start in Coppa Italia, then score against Inter, then a starter

Kucka's not exactly an Ambrosini or Van Bommel type player, apart from sharing Ambrosini's fondness for bursting forward but even then it's in quite a different way. He doesn't hold a position in front of the defence, nor would he be a physically dominant or tenacious anchor. He's an entertaining little player but he's box-to-box at best, it's like calling Asamoah a defensive midfielder.

In any case the last report of a player who we agreed to sign in a year's time was Marchetti, however that should serve as an example of how circumstances can change and how unreliable reports of such far off deals are. If they were saying he'd be brought in to play on the left or right of our midfield then I might understand this, however he certainly won't be an heir to Van Bommel.

I would support this move. He was hugely rated at Slavia and I see a lot of potential in him.
