Re: Sanchez to Barca? Done Deal?
Even if it's E40m it's definitely not all fixed. It seems around E27m is fixed and the rest is variable. This is not bad because the variables will depend on how successful he is and if he shines for us then it will all be worth it. Yes the overall price may be a little high but just look at what kind of crazy transfer market we are in.
Re: Sanchez to Barca? Done Deal?
That’s correct.
In a nutshell we pay 28m for skills and potential and we are going to pay another 11 if the potential actually pays off, which won’t bother anyone.
The important part is that the milestones for the additional payments are set right

Well not a bad buy for a young star. And yeah, they didn't go into detail about what Borghi said but taking into consider the variables, I see where the 40 Mil figure was mentioned. It's a lot more comforting, lol.

Perhaps that is where the deal is hanging billy. Both sides are trying their best to twist this to their advantage as much as possible. The other reason is which players Barcelona could be ready to offer to Udinese or Granada, which of them they could convince to accept such a move and which of them Udinese or Granada would be ready to accept. Once again my Twitter says that the Bojan deal can only be announced after the A.Sanchez deal is done.
Re: Sanchez to Barca? Done Deal?
in any case i expect the deal to be officially over by the end of the week

Re: Sanchez to Barca? Done Deal?
Not so sure billy. It might happen only after Chile's involvement in Copa America is over.

Oh well, we’ll only sign 2 people this summer (excluding Kiko) I’m not in a hurry.
Although it would be nice if new signings could follow the team to pre season tour

First reports were from 18 June, now we have 14 July and Sanchez is still Udinese player. I wonder how many fake breaking news will we have to read before this saga is finished.

Re: Sanchez to Barca? Done Deal?
Udinese owner Gino Pozzo has just arrived at Barcelona airport and has confirmed there's a total deal on Alexis Sanchez (22). The parties are now looking for a date for a final meeting on Alexis Sanchez. His agent can't on Wednesday, Pozzo can't on Thursday. [rac1]

Re: Sanchez to Barca? Done Deal?
Yes khaled I too read that and hope this time at least it's not a misinterpreted statement.
This has been by far the most hopeless summer transfer window I have ever followed with hardly any sensational deal done so far and I am not talking just about Barcelona here. The latest is that the Carlos Tevez transfer to Corinthians has fallen through. This indirectly means that Tevez and possibly Aguero stay where they are for the time being.
