I know DDR was known as a leader on the pitch but not the kind of move you would expect from a team whose fans MUST be getting impatient (theyre a mere 6 points off the relegation zone)

Conflicting feelings tbh, on one hand I want Fiorentina to crash, on the other I can't wish anything but success on De Rossi.

De Rossi has always wanted to be a coach and for a while now.

But to coach what I feel are one of two most difficult clubs to coach and under Commisso will most likely end up a bad spell for De Rossi who has no coaching experience at all.

But I cannot stress how strong of a leader DDR is based on a finer insight Im lucky to have on him and it was of course overshadowed by Totti for long but the man is a lion. Though will that be enough? I mean his footballing IQ is as good as it gets so hope it can translate to the pitch.

He changed to a back 4, playing some variation of 433 with Dybala and El Shaarawy around Lukaku. Interestingly Pellegrini is in the midfield 3 and back to center of all things Roma with goals and assists in each match. He was lost under Mourinho. With better fullbacks they would have gotten points from Inter. Lets see how it evolves, rooting for him to succeed.

Indeed way too early to judge. I criticised the sacking of Mourinho but El Sharaawy and above all Pellegrini have been easily the players who have been augmented by the use of DDR.

Not much to go by her but its obvious DDR has ideas he has conviction in and should be interesting to follow. Definitely rooting for him too.

Roma played very well against Inter, I was positively surprised.

Inter prevailed with mentality and Lakaka.

I didn't watch the game, but I'm only mildly surprised the team are responding well to DDR. I feel like these results and the football being played are something between a post-Mouball shot in the arm, the fact that DDR is relatively unknown as a tactician, and that because those tactics are fresh to both the team and our opponents, it's taking some teams by surprise.

He's a caretaker so that does give him a certain degree of freedom to truly shake things up with no real expectations of what comes next. I imagine he's probably have a lot of fun right now and that's always good to see.

I wouldn't really call him a caretaker tbh, he is auditioning for the role and since its De Rossi, surely giving it 110%. Expectations are there and are high.

Could end up being a situation like Inzaghi at Lazio taking over when Bielsa decided not to show up, and owning the role.

He is doing very well so far, Pellegrini - the most brillaint Roma product in last years- is back to high levels under him

but anyway the real test is the EL knock-out match against Milan in Europa League

Im more surprised De Rossi, who always was known for his leadership and charisma, is more than just a motivational outlet as he was expected to be, but a rather talented manager in tactic and system, as far as it goes in the games he has managed.

I dont know who expected him to be just a motivator, De Rossi has always been smart and in Italian football there was always the expectation that he would be a good coach.

Next 3 games include Lazio and Milan. His reputation can be launched there if he does well there.
