Tevez can't play such a role, his talent would demand a starting role. I can accept that if Inzaghi has been spent in the eyes of Allegri that we may need an extra man, however I see no reason why we should agree to take on even a portion of Tevez's insulting wages, attitude problems whilst burning a significant amount of cash on his transfer when there's nothing wrong with our fully fit forward line at all.

We desperately need this money in midfield, not for another big name forward. If we are to get an extra striker then we need a back-up, not someone who can regularly break the starting line-up, something we can allow a talented youth such as El Shaarawy attempt. As far as wage, transfer fee and age go, Lopez fits the bill far better than Tevez.
