PSG agree Cavani deal
French radio station RMC have claimed this afternoon that Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal to sign Edinson Cavani.
The station have revealed that the Ligue 1 side have come to an agreement with the Napoli forward over a four-year deal.
It also believed though, that Carlo Ancelotti's men have not yet got the go-ahead from the Partenopei for the move – however, the striker does have a €63m release clause, which PSG are expected to trigger.
So now Napoli are going to do Italy proud in the CL with Pandev and Insigne? This is the Udinese story all over again... I doubt Napoli are going to spend too much of that money on actually balancing the team, which would have been a good idea.

Re: PSG agree Cavani deal
63 mil is still a joke for him, but if that's the price to keep Carlo at PSG away from madrid, then good

Re: PSG agree Cavani deal
that attack and midfield... good lawd.
Lucas-Verratti-Matuidi-Pastore
Ibra
Cavani
Bench: Lavezzi, Menez, Capoue, etc.
All PSG need are fullbacks. They are waiting to see what happens with with Sagna and Abidal. For certain, they are going to sign one of Aurier or Corchia... maybe both if Aurier is open to moving to LB (he's played there a lot before).

They really don't need Cavani unless Ibra's leaving.
Lavezzi should be starting imo.

He's not if Carlo or Mou stay... the signing is made to keep Carlo and Ibra both. It's a bit strange, i know. But Carlo has a crush on Cavani and PSG want to show Carlo that they respect him.RealGunner wrote:Where is Ibra off to then

If Carlo stays, Ibra stays.RealGunner wrote:Where is Ibra off to then
Cavani is a guy carlo likes, so it's kind of a deal to encourage him to stay
and yes we need Cavani, Ibra is a SS, and a real finisher will play beautifully off him.
it also helps because there is an Ibra dependence.

I happen to think Cavani and Ibra would suit each other very well.
Btw can we stop being told PSG are not like City now?

Lavezzi is like Vucinic... he does everything until he needs to make a decisive play at the end. Then everything falls apart. So frustrating.

They're not. This is the only striker signing that is going to be made. Gameiro is being sold. Menez likely is gone too. Capoue, a DM is coming in. The remaining targets are fullbacks, another winger if Menez leaves and a CB is Sakho is gone too.
The purchases are balanced. There's actually a plan lol.

Cavani is utter shit paired with another striker. Mediocre at Palermo alongside Miccoli/Amauri and his partnership with Suarez on the URU NT hasn't really been fruitful so far.
Pointless signing.

That's because they move him to a side Gil... Ibra will play behind him. PSG play a 4411 most times.

Ibra or Cavani for the bench?
60 millions for Cavani is ridiculous, and PSG continues its mutation into an italian team if it happens.

Re: PSG agree Cavani deal
my god players are stupid. the lack of education in most players is becoming more and more visible.
money isn't everything. i mean there were better suited teams than went for him that could have made him a legend..instead he'll just vanish from football history.
and even if napoli wanted a lot of money...he could have forced another move if he wanted

Re: PSG agree Cavani deal
So he is stupid because he might join PSG, make a lot of money to support himself and his family, win trophies in L1, compete at the highest level in CL in the forseable future, play alongside very talented players, while living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world?
Stop being jealous lol, Cavani going to PSG would be a great situation for him.
