Ibra vs Rooney

Who is more complete?

Rooney is more complete.

Ibra is clearly the more complete player. Just as clinical, but more creative and more versatile.

Rooney for me. better at international and club level, can play anywhere and is still like 5 years younger than ibra.

Has Ibra ever played as a midfielder in serie A before? Both are great at scoring loads of score, but Rooney has the element of a playmaker. Rooney is sort of footballer that would fit into any team, what concerns about Ibra is hes a striker, whos best suited for Target man imo but hes too clunky to be a playmaker, yea he assists once in a while, but Rooney has the edge over him. Hes much smoother with the ball and delivers good passes.
Rooney also has won everything apart with NT.

Not saying I would pick between Ibra and Rooney, just stating a fact.

Ibra as a player and a talent is miles ahead of Rooney....however I don't know.....Ibra has too many Vince Carter qualities for me......then again....so does Rooney.........

That leaves me with Podolski.

Ibra clunky? Wow, I'm no fan of Ibra but Clunky he is not in this universe or any other. I would even say he is visibly more talented than rooney and most other footballers in the world.

Rooney is like having 2 players in the field, he tracks back very well, works hard for the team, and has a good scoring record for someone that plays that far away from the goal. On the other hand Ibra is an artist, he scores and creates with ease, his vision is that of an AM while his presence in the box is unmatched.

For this thread its a bit foolish to compare the two coz each one of them needs a different type of team to succeed. Rooney at Inter for example would not need to track down and he'd lose that dimension of his game, while we saw how little Ibra can do to a team like Barca when it comes to creating chances and would become nothing more than a target man.

Why does he need to? You misunderstood the OP, he was referring to them as strikers and who between the two is more complete, thus making the point that Rooney can play in midfield irrelevant, also playing more positions doesn't make you more complete.

Lulz Ibracadabra doesn't ring any bells? Ibra far exceeds Rooney as a playmaker and has the technique to pull it off. Rooney has a element of a playmaker, but it is ingrained in Ibrahimovic's play.

Subjective view friend, Rooney does not have the edge over him in any aspect except defensive work rate and potentially a more efficient goal scorer.

So has Ibra with the exception of a Cl title, he has won more at a consistent lvl and with 4 different teams. However using the argument x has more titles than y is pointless really.

You shouldn't really compare two players if you don't know much about one or the other.

ibra performs terrible in the ucl knockouts though.. hasnt really convinced me.. failed many many more times than lit the stage up

I think Ibra is more skilled and talented but rooney isn’t lacking much.
I’d rather have rooney though based on his overall attitude in comparison to ibra, and his workrate

Ibra is better at everything bar workrate, Ibra is always one of the main men.

The Rooney hype is ridiculous, he works hard but he isn't even a top 10 player ffs. He scores goals, he is one of the best strikers ever, he doesn't score he isn't a striker but a SS. The excuses for him are too much. If it weren't for his work ethic, I wouldn't want him at United. Rooneys temperment is ridiculous. He is a good player, not great, not amazing, but good.

A very difficult pick. Both are amazing. Both are talented and clinical. Both create, both finish, both are game changers.

As great as Ibra is, I'd rather have Rooney in my team honestly.
