Messi's goals, today
Didn't watch the game, however, based on the GOAL report, Messi scored a "tap in" and PK.
Should I extrapolate from some of the comments on these forums, that these don't count a "legitimate goals" and should be dettracted from his total?

Re: Messi's goals, today
Is it necessary to make a thread for this? Couldn't it go in any of the other thousands of threads we have for Messi and Ronaldo?

Re: Messi's goals, today
Almost every goal scored in football is a "tap in" including 95 percent of Messi's which are basically walked into the goal or 1 on 1 finishes.
It's the play before the goal that people appreciate from Messi.

well I almost totally agree, except that a 1 on 1 is alot harder than tap in.

Re: Messi's goals, today
1 on 1 is not a tap in, and that made up percentage is no where near the real number.ragbirjosh wrote:Almost every goal scored in football is a "tap in" including 95 percent of Messi's which are basically walked into the goal or 1 on 1 finishes.

Re: Messi's goals, today
difference is you waited half season to create this thread...but a messi fan can create this kind of thread about CR every week.
and if we detract tap-ins and penalties from both players, then cr will have around 4-5 goals this seasons

We can create this thread about literally anyone who scores goals literally any week.
CR scores only a few more score tap ins.....Meesi just makes him tap ins in the buildup.
Anyway....this will go nowhere...I'm out.

Re: Messi's goals, today
I think it's hilarious that you started a thread to put Messi's goals into some sort of category to judge them yet you admit that you didn't even see them.
I mean can troll's at least take the time to watch the topic you're trolling about anymore? Have troll's really gotten that lazy on here?

Re: Messi's goals, today
Messi fans must admit that not every one of Messi's goal is Getafe-esque. Most of his goals are slow, low, accurate, from close range, and from other player's passes. Most of his epic dribbles are made to make the crucial assist/ pass for another player.
In terms of pure goalscoring, Messi's not much better than Ronaldo, if at all, but it's just Messi's ridiculously good overall game that trumps Ronaldo. When Messi doesn't score or play well, at least he assists, makes good forward passes, doesn't lose possession and helps defend.
