Well, you know I dearly love Raúl, too, but Kahn would have deserved it even more in that year. I guess Raúl should have gotten the 2000 one, IIRC. Or we imagine the extra GK Ballon d'Or, then Kahn *and* Raúl could have won one! GKs are a breed apart anyway.

Sometimes it's not always about the 'magic' but rather just getting goals and assisting.

Here's a good question: Let's assume player A produced more magic and scored lets say 40 goals, while player B scored 50 goals and just scored them through poaching, heading ,etc. We only base who gets the Balln D'Or on this information. Who should get it?

Can't see that happening, if Cronaldo has decent season, they will split the vote and Messi will scoop it. I can only see Cronaldo winning it, if he has better season and Madrid win the titles.

when did forlan become popular???

and if neuer cant even get into the top 30 then i am afraid he will never win ballon d'or(since his best season was last year and he didnt win squat) even germany fans dont like him forget the rest lol

Bayern Ultras don't like him and certain Schalke ultras who think he is a traitor. The average Germany fan considers him just great.

If Real wins CL and liga, and voters split votes between C.Ronaldo and Benzema (maybe Ozil too), then Messi will win it easily Laughing

If Spain wins Euro then voters will split votes between Xavi and Iniesta and Silva and Fabregas and more. Then again Messi will rob ballon dor again Razz

If Spain wins Euro and Real wins CL - Votes will split between Xavi, Iniesta, C.Ronaldo, Ozil, Benzema, Silva, Villa.........again Messi will win it collecting 20-25% votes cheers

No one, Messi will win it again, with or without trophies..

This is an individual award for the player with best performance in a single season.. I don't think anyone can compete with him now..

although, i hope that Xavi win it next year.
