Kyle is one of the players i am scouting, i looking for players that can turn into very good allround RB,LB, means balanced one, mainly i am looking for RB since we have contrao who is a very balanced LB, and a very good one.

I am still scouting him, Kyle walker, keiran gibbs, england have quite few upcoming fullbacks talent.

hm Lahm IS a left-back, he was a left-back in his youth and became a WC left-back at Bayern.

He only plyed 2 seasons as a right-back, and that just because vanGaal wanted him to flank with his right foot, which robbed Lahms dangerous turn ins from the left.
So Lahm is definately a left-back, except the two 'van Gaal' seasons.

edit: sorry din't read your quote Very Happy ...
That's ridiculous brah,he wasn't a LB in his youth.I just can't imagine a coach who would see a brilliant talented right footed fullback and say OK,you're gonna be a left back for no apparent reason.

Lahm was a left back in his youth days, Lahm has always be a left back until Van Gaal came, he played as a Leftback because he was so effective there, he could cut in and score and can also cross or make tru passes.

Sagnol was Bayern rightback and Lahm was leftback

If Bonera and Antonini stopped playing LB then the average talent of that position would improve dramatically

Magath initially made him a left sided player cause Hinkel was playing right back at Stuttgart, and Sagnol at Bayern. He's playing left back now cause it's easier to find a quality right back than a left one,and you can't buy a left back as good a Lahm now,but you can find a quality right back.

Yeah, Left Back position was in decline when Roberto Carlos slowed down a bit, Risee slowed down and left for Roma, Cashley had a few meh seasons, and noone else stepped up during that time.

I thought a lot about that problem since Real Madrid had a weak spot in LB. Imagine, Clownderon tried to fill that gap with Heinze, and Marcelo was simply bad there.

But Marcelo decided to step up and now I wouldn't want anyone else. Still the problem is existing for other teams and I don't see the quick fix to it.

I don't know why LB at particular. Maybe it has to do with left handedness.

The mind is a mysterious organ, and there are people that say they are mostly right-handed or mostly left-handed. Roberto Carlos was a right-hemisphere using left-centered motion controled individual. There that's the formula

I dont think he is bad, its just you, so far in matches i saw him, he did ok, wasnt completely impressive and wasnt bad, he did just ok, did his job with no fuss, perhaps thats not the level of player you want in madrid.

but he has potential to be better, lets see how he grows.
