He's still awesome. Had an excellent showing in the Copa America. I'm just baffled at how hasn't been in a bigger team.

And yeah, he's way to Attack Minded to be a Fullback but I can tell you that he's better than Marcelo. If you count Marcelo as a LB.

Come on,Evra had 5-6 season on top level and he wasn't really top for the last 2 or 3.Abidal was a liability at Barca for the first 2 years,and Lahm isn't really a left back and neither is Zanetti.Maldini >,about Cole I'm not sure,he's been playing at top level for pretty much all of his career but has only 3 premier league trophies to show for it so I would give that to Carlos.And he's not Dani Alves,he wasn't a defensive god like Maldini but he was still very solid.Had a great tackle but was caught up field most of the time,he was a very offensive player after all so that comes with it.

Every right footed fullback is naturally a right back.He's a great left back,but is or originally a right one...

Magath initially made him a left sided player cause Hinkel was playing right back at Stuttgart,and Sagnol at Bayern.He's playing left back now cause it's easier to find a quality right back than a left one,and you can't buy a left back as good a Lahm now,but you can find a quality right back.

I'd agree it's in the decline atm but it's looking better.

hm Lahm IS a left-back, he was a left-back in his youth and became a WC left-back at Bayern.

He only plyed 2 seasons as a right-back, and that just because vanGaal wanted him to flank with his right foot, which robbed Lahms dangerous turn ins from the left.
So Lahm is definately a left-back, except the two 'van Gaal' seasons.

That's ridiculous brah,he wasn't a LB in his youth.I just can't imagine a coach who would see a brilliant talented right footed fullback and say OK,you're gonna be a left back for no apparent reason.

There are no good fullbacks. lol. i have been looking at many players, but none convinces me to be the next best fullback.
