Totti was subbed wasn't he ? so he wont be able to take part I think.

Right, I'm not sure exactly what the rules are. Because I remember a match against Bologna last season that was postponed and we started a different lineup.

I'm not entirely sure on the rules of this either but if we have any players who are injured going into this match and had started it only then are we aloud change, but I'm nearly 100% sure Totti won't be allowed to play any part because he started that match and was subbed.

Catania-Roma rules
By Football Italia staff

On Wednesday Catania and Roma come back together to play the remaining 25 minutes of their game, but there are special rules involved.

The Serie A match was suspended due to a waterlogged pitch after 65 minutes on January 14 with the score at 1-1.

Under Serie A regulations, the tie will resume from where it left off at 19.00 UK time on Wednesday.

Only players who were signed to the clubs at the time of the original game can take part in this ‘mini’ encounter.

Therefore, Catania cannot field Marco Motta, Felipe Ignacio Seymour, Osariemen Giulio Ebagua or Juan Pablo Carrizo, while Marco Biagianti and Giovanni Marchese were suspended for the original match.

Meanwhile, Roma substituted Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi during the original match, so they cannot come back into the game tomorrow.

By that same token, the Giallorossi only have one more substitution left, whereas Catania have all three.

The players booked on January 14 will continue to carry the yellow cards, so another booking in the 25-minute encounter would see them sent off. Those players are Gonzalo Bergessio, Alessandro Potenza and Fabio Simplicio.

The game will resume from a throw-in for Catania at the 64th minute
,which is where the original was suspended.

What a way to start the match lol...

Luis Enrique for half an hour of ball possession. Simplicio will have to be careful not to pick up a second yellow.

Lamela, Bojan and Borini will be, I believe, the youngest attack in all of Serie A, with about 60 years between the three of them.

Meanwhile everyone on Radio IES, Carlo Zampa included, are predicting a 2-1 final result with a goal from Heinze...

PS- Could anyone post a stream here when they get one, because I have a feeling the game will already be over when I get one lol.

thanks Dave. you're lucky they're showing a 25 minute match, here I couldn't catch Roma-Inter live, I doubt they would show 25 minutes of Catania-Roma.

Smart keeping Simplicio out so as not to risk going down to 10 men.

Odd move putting in Piscitella, but I can't wait to see how he does. The pressure is going to be on because he only has 25 minutes to show what he could do. It'll be a huge test of character for him.

We do have one sub left, so seeing Bojan is not out of the question.

Disappointed we couldn't get the goal, but a point away to Catania is still a good result none the less.

Try and get 3 away to Siena on Monday.

A very intense half hour, with both teams trying to get that winning goal. Llama and Borini had the best chances to win the match, with the latter incapable of finishing off what was a fantastic build-up.

Tough to criticize or analyze the match given the circumstances. We did what we had to do, unfortunately the goal didn't come. It's not like we had the time to set our tempo on the match and wear the opposition out. It was 30 minutes where everyone tried to do their best in an intense environment. Time to look forward to our next match.

Luis Enrique's post match interview with Premium Calcio

http://www.video.mediaset.it/video/sportmediaset/calcio/282803/roma-luis-enrique.html

Best part is at 5:20 when they tell him that Roma was criticized by Tare yesterday. His answer: "who?" Best part is I think he genuinely doesn't know who Tare is lol.
