We don't need Ronaldo to win trophies. Plenty of teams prove they can be just as successful without a Messi or Ronaldo.

Besides, it's not like Ronaldo's won us trebles every season since he joined.

However I'm not saying he's a poor player or anything. He's one of the best goalscorers in the World.

Modric is a flat track bully and Isco can't create. A pathetic 1 assist in 9 games or whatever despite playing with an elite talent like Ronaldo.

I agree with this. Rnaldo can score 50 goals every season but if Madrid don't win a thing wtf is the point? Has he been a successful signing? You have one la liga and copa in half a decade, is that Madrid'sbenchmark. For me Mourinho is the reason Madrid won those titles, not Ronaldo.

Ronaldo scoring that much goals actually helps Madrid to win. If Madrid isn't winning enough, it might be due to others reasons than Ronaldo. He is a successful signing for them , no doubt about that. If you don't think so ...well i don't know what to say.
without Ronaldo RM would have not reached 3 semis and win one liga for sure. he's their most consistent player also.

Mourinho the reason? His tactics literally were a one-dimensional model of having Özil drift laterally to find the spoon-fed Cristiano, who bailed out Jose countless times as he did with Pellegrini.

When Ronaldo ceased to perform in a side built around him, Madrid produced very little.

Agreed. He has been nothing but great for us in the big games. Özil was constantly invisible but still managed to pop a assist or so. Not utterly useless in big games but Özil really didn't play as well as he should have in big games.
