Re: Pep vs Mou
Cesc's goal and Ronaldo's miss(es) tell the story of this game. Mou's only mistake is that he keeps playing little girls who wet their pants at the sight of a barca player
playing for the draw might have been a safer game plan, but you cant blame him for trying to win this one coz it would've be a great boost

Yes you can blame him for this as they have played us 8 times in the last 12 months and every time they go at us they lose. And also, a draw would be just as much of a boost as a win, they DID NOT need to win this game, all they had to do is not let Barca win, it's called tactics and he didn't get them right.
Not to mention he continues to let Ronaldo take free kicks and blast them into the wall/crowd when they have the free kicks in great positions and Barca is AWFUL at defending set pieces especially this year. This ALSO is a coaching decision that he gets wrong as that would have been 4 set pices in great positions where we really struggle.

Re: Pep vs Mou
I don't like Mou that much TBH. I like managers who are able to build teams by not spending hundreds of millions and at the same time promote the academy whilst playing sexy football. Mou did excellently with us, but in the general view of things I like those managers better.

im not saying Mou was without fault tonight but that cant be said about his tactics, and if the players did what they had to do then the game would have ended differently.
Yes he was wrong not to play for a draw, but then again it's Barca vs Madrid, and its not just the rivary, but a win would have made a strong statement and it was worth the risk.
As for his man love for Ronaldo you're right there, and the same can be said about ozil, another big game flop, so Jose has no excuse especially with all that talent on the bench
Anyway the better team won today and pep obviously deserves the credit...

Re: Pep vs Mou
Wasnt impressed with Mou at all, especially his subs.
Subbed off Lass who I though had a very good game.
Subbed off Di maria instead of CR when Di Maria was the best Madrid attacker.
The Special Five indeed.
Once again the Special five gets owned by Pep.

Re: Pep vs Mou
Any coach would excel with barca, grant did it with an already made chelsea squad and next season his portsmoth team went on relegation, next season, his west ham team did the same.mou has transformed realmadrid,no doubt, but madrid players are too naive when playing barca aside that, madrid is a perfect team, trust me. But pep,had little work to do when he came to barca, before then he was unknown, and he has a messi who can turn things around to cover his ass at a slight chance so i would say guardiola isnt the perfect coach yet. Let him try his ability elsewhere.i would love 6 trophies in 3 teams than 12 trophies in one team. Mou is a phenomenon, pep knows best how to capitalise on his players ability regardless of tactics. That it.

Re: Pep vs Mou
Its really hard to judge a manager when his team have Arguably best player ever and some of the all time best players to rely.

It is?
Considering Rijkaard had them all the year before and finished 3rd...doesnt that say something?

Not really. You can turn that and say would these player have become as you put it "some of the all time best players" without Pep. Remember Barca hadn't won the league in two years before Peps arrival.

Is rijkard messi on par with current messi? The Franchise wrote:Adit wrote:Its really hard to judge a manager when his team have Arguably best player ever and some of the all time best players to rely.

that itself makes a big difference.
Not to start with iniesta.
Also Pep has sufficiently spend on that team too, almost third most spenders after City and Real so lets not act as if Rijkard squad is same as the current one.
Re: Pep vs Mou
Pique, Busquets, Pedro etc etc would have never have come the players they have become without Pep.....
Also Xavi and Iniesta was no where near the players they are compared than before Pep...
Valdes is ridiculously improved and many others......
This anyone can coach Barca to success BS has to stop....

Madrid midfield shutdown Barcelona possession game tonight.
Dont agree at all. Shut down? Madrid made 20 fouls to our 10..because they couldnt effective defend us.
I agree with him. Especially in thew first half where Barca litterally had no profoundness to their possesion in the majority of the half.

And Messi and Iniesta getting that good has nothing to do with Pep?

You would agree.
We were shut down, yet we scored, had more than 60% of theball and had other chances to score more? It was an even game in the first half.
How is that shut down lol

Anything else apart from the goal in first half? All I remember was a Ramos mistake and a Xavi FreeKick.
That's it..........
