Re: AS Roma - Juventus
Ok so Cassetti has been really struggling this week, while De Rossi has often been tried out as a center back. So we're looking at a backline of:
Rosi-De Rossi-Heinze-Taddei/Angel.
Also, it seems very likely that Luis Enrique is going to throw Federico Viviani into the mix, probably as a direct replacement for De Rossi since he trained in that position over the summer and also occupies that position for Italy's U-20s. A lot of people are saying that he's De Rossi's heir, but I see him starting off his senior career positioned slightly further up, therefore having the possibility to eventually co-exist with De Rossi. I share Di Biagio's thoughts:
"With me, in the Under 20s, he plays consistently, he wears the captain's armband and plays as the deep lying midfielder in front of the backline, despite being naturally a trequartista. He has incredible personality and tranquility and capable of dribbling past opponents anywhere on the pitch. And he's never afraid to shoot from far out, seeing as how he has a good strike. I think he has to leave the primavera and be given his chance with the first tea, I really see myself in him for his technical skills, he has incredible potential."

Had a horror show against Valencia back in the summer, but has recovered well. I'm all for giving him a chance at this point.
We've got nothing to lose and all to gain in giving him his shot.

Anyone know where Nego is ? I'd like to see him given a chance at some stage of the season.I have heard a lot of good things about him.

Nego's with the primavera at the moment. We have good depth at RB currently so he's not really needed at this point.
I'd expect Nego to be loaned out in January.

Can't disagree with that. Still got plenty of time left in the season though. We may yet see him if he's not loaned out.

Well there's lots of talk about Cicinho and Cassetti leaving, so Nego's chance may not be that far off if we don't end up buying a right back. He would have to compete with Rosi, Perrotta and Taddei, though Perrotta is best used in midfield and Taddei seems to be better at LB.

Re: AS Roma - Juventus
Nego will get playing time after Cassetti/Cicinho leave
he'll be competing with Rosi and possibly a new RB we'll be buying. but Nego also plays LB too, not well, but he has played there before

Re: AS Roma - Juventus
Enrique blasts anti-Roma 'bull'
By Football Italia staff
Luis Enrique lost his patience in the Press Conference. “I am tired of these questions. I see Roma, the rest is bull****.”
The Coach is increasingly under fire following two consecutive defeats and journalists bore the brunt of his temper ahead of Monday night’s showdown with Juventus.
“I am only concerned with the team beating Juventus, the rest is not an issue for me,” stated the Spaniard.
“Juve are a strong side with a great Coach who have an incredible defensive approach and are rapid on the attack.
“I consider myself the primary responsible figure, but the defeat to Fiorentina actually gives me more strength, because I see my team with eight men continuing to push forward and take risks. We all know we paid for that, but what happened to me can happen to every Coach.”
Enrique lost his cool during the Press Conference when he was again asked if Marco Borriello will be picked for the first time since October 26.
“If he is called tomorrow, then he will have his opportunity. I am tired of these questions. I always think of the team first and foremost.
“I see Roma, the rest is bull**** that you lot care about, but I do not. I may be wrong, but this is my view and I make technical decisions. I see how the team works during the week, you don’t.”

Love Enrique's press conferences... especially when he asks for translations in the middle of a rant.

Re: AS Roma - Juventus
Finally, some of that famous passion from Luis Enrique....released all of his frustration in the right direction. It's the media that's been stirring stuff up about his future and his tactical decisions and he let them know exactly how he felt about that. Great stuff.

Juve has to lose sooner or later lol.
And remember, Buffon is Totti's most preferred victim, while Totti is Buffon's worst adversary... 208 on its way people!

Re: AS Roma - Juventus
I think I should of been at that press conference lol
Once again, I repeat. I will not be surprised if Roma win, their just too good of a squad.
Finally Borriello is going to be used, and he will be paired up with Osvaldo having Totti playing the trequartista, I can't wait.
Forza Juve tho !
