Press release of your club

How often do you club do press release to communicate information to the media and the fans? And how useless are they?

I mean at Lyon a tendency started and the press release are becoming more and more stupid in addition to being very short.

Last week, we got an official press release of three lines saying that yes, we had received an offer from Malaga but that it was not the sums rumoured in the press.

Today we got another press release saying that the club was not meeting Malaga negociaters today like rumoured but at the end of the week. Seriously, who cares?

On the Puel topic they need the feeling to comment the rumors too and we know the press is saying the truth despite what the club is saying.

Do your clubs communicate the same way?

Sunderland normally communicate with us fans pretty well. during the Henderson transfer they were unusually quiet though. They don't tend to talk about transfers much.

I don't think anything was said at all. Although our manager is on holiday.

normally during the season we have weekly press conferences.

The chairman, manager & chief exec often go out on road showes, travelling around the north east having talk ins. Where they discuss their plans and fans can ask any questions.

That's how it should be done. The club is issuing official statements way too much and for silly reason like the exemples I have given.

That being said, I expect a big news at the end of today.
