I think most here under rate because of the English youngsters are hyped thing .
Also isnt this the first really good season Gervinho has had ? IIRC he was touted for around 5/6 mil last season . If Gervinho can have a breakthrough at 24 i dont why Walcott should be judged as a finished article at 21 .
Thank you

The only thing holding Walcott to being WC level is injuries.
Really, he's one of the few players that scare Barcelona. That should tell a lot. You know, humble Barcelona

Gervinho was bought 6.5 millions per Lille two seasons ago , he was already shining in a relegated club (Le Mans). He immediately shined at Lille. He has two very good season behind him.
Walcott can become better but for the moment he is not. And he does not have this facility with the ball that either you have either you will never have.

Gervinho is so underrated in these forums. He was probably Ligue 1's best player on the last 2 seasons. And yes he is better than Walcott.

Re: Gervinho to Arsenal
So Walcott has peaked at just 21?
Do we know any other players of his age, caliber and potential that have "peaked" at such a young age?
That's a rather illogical point to make.
As for the OP,
Gervinho is boss. He'll strengthen Arsenal ridiculously providing he properly settles into the EPL style, which I don't really forsee him having much trouble with.

Re: Gervinho to Arsenal
If I was a Arsenal fan, I would be VERY happy with this move.
He is a legit forward who will play like one, turn, run, dribble shot..no time wasting passing inside the box.
The less we see Bendy or even Nasri on the wing, the better for the team in my opinion.

Well he didnt give himself that name, it was given to him. People started calling him that and clearly it has stuck.

And what a blessing it has been for him. In a strange way, I have to thank Hansen and Waddle and all those that criticised Walcott because it have him extra motivation to improve and prove people wrong. Which he has done this season gone by.
Seems he still has more to prove wrong, though.

And I'm getting the feeling that Lille are still going to perform well, in the end.
