Sorry, it slipped mind he's Welsh. Assuming that hadn't have influenced the squad, I think he could've made a valuable contribution.

He certainly has the potential to influence a game. However, I think that the 5-man midfield was one of our key's to success. If anything, he would've replaced Downing in the squad or come on off the bench.

I think he makes a lot of impact off the bench. He's good enough for a start but with his pace and combining with Suarez, they could be a lethal combination against fatigued defenders.
