Re: Bore off Platini
We were in the CL last time it was 2 group stages
Bring it back and we will qualify again, its a certainty

But at the same time, it would mean more games per season for players who already play too many.
Reduce the number of Premier League teams to 16.

Re: Bore off Platini
I really like the fact that there are always "unknown" teams (bet in their own countres they are pretty well-known, though) in the CL. And if a team like Real puts 7 goals past one of them, heck, that is not unknown in La Liga either. I remember a match where Real *got* 5 in, too. Sometimes there are higher results, but I bet the players of the "smaller" teams are in fact honoured that they are allowed to play with the "big ones" for once. By the way, I bet ManUtd was a bit surprised that the "minnows" of Basel or Benfica pulled quite some matches against them.
Actually quite some of the bigger sides are bigger because they have the richer sugar daddy. IMO *that* shouldn't be a reason for them to qualify. And if you say "The's the others - my team doesn't have one", then maybe you should consider why it was allowed for rich people to buy clubs as toys in your league in the first place ^^I am not saying this champions league format should be changed, but i am quite sure the likes of Liverpool put in lots of hardwork and in most cases more than the teams winning the leagues in lesser known countries. The bigger sides are the bigger sides because of the hard work they put in in the past.
