Another Blow for Italy... Giovinco Injured.
Sebastian Giovinco has withdrawn from the Italian international squad after picking up an injury on Sunday.
The attacker, part-owned by Juventus, suffered a muscle problem in Parma’s 1-0 loss at Lazio yesterday.
Giovinco did travel to Florence to meet up with the rest of the squad, but he has now returned to Parma.
Azzurri medics carried out numerous tests on Monday where it was decided that he wouldn’t be risked for the friendlies against Poland and Uruguay.
Italy boss Cesare Prandelli is already without Milan’s Antonio Cassano after his heart surgery, as well as injured Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi.

The last creativity up front just faded.. I think Prandelli will go with just one striker now. And that be Balotelli..

Well.... This really settles it then. No creativity up front. Let's play 4-5-1 with Big Luca Toni up front and hoof long balls to him until he heads one in.

Re: Another Blow for Italy... Giovinco Injured.
At this point there's a lot of things he could do. I know Quagliarella doesn't play for Juve for SOME *bleep* REASON THAT PISSES ME RIGHT THE *bleep* OFF but calling him back is a definite option. If ADP played, I'd say call him.
If I were prandelli I'd say eff it and just call up El Sharaawy and keep him on the bench for some experience and maybe sub him in a friendly.
Actually nvm durrr Di Natale is the obvious call up at this point. What am I thinking, even though i don't like him, he's the obvious call up.
edit: gilardino if he's not injured. Man anybody remember how good that guy used to be? Whatever happened to him

Well based on Giovinco's injury, Prandelli will go with a 4-3-1-2 like this:
Maggio...Barzagli...Chiellini...Criscito
Marchisio...Pirlo...De Rossi
Aquilani
Matri...Balotelli
And for all of the Inter fans, you can sub in Ranocchia for Barzagli, Motta for Marchisio and Pazzini for Matri...

I'd rather sub Ranocchia for Chiellini if anything. Motta for Marchisio I'd say yes, but not definitely... and surprise surprise I'm curious as to how Matri would do so I'd like to see him :$ but I wouldn't mind seeing either pazzini or matri.

Re: Another Blow for Italy... Giovinco Injured.
""Giovinco is not well and so he has gone home, but we have Simone Pepe who can allow us to change things tactically," Prandelli told the press."
YEAHHHHHHHHHH PEPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GIOVINCO REPLACEMENT WOOOO!!!!
Simone Pepe to take on the roles of giovinco, cassano and rossi all at once.
FORZA SIMONE PEPE!!
I predict at one point we will see
Abate - Rest of Defense
Maggio - Midfielders - Pepe
Strikers
