Was going to say this. But can you play for two u-21 teams Jay?
Re: November International Break
You can, yes. Jenkinson did represent the England U17 and U19 squads and even went to the U19 Euro's in 2011, but is now playing for Finland U21.
So I would assume that Jenkinson would be able to play at U21 level for England. However, if he's capped by the Finland senior team, he won't be able to play for England.
Incidentally, I think I read somewhere that someone could still play for another nation even if he's already been capped for another team, so long as he doesn't play a competitive fixture. Not entirely sure on that one, though.

I hate international breaks. It's like we got an international break every month. Very annoying.

Yea I know, I hate it so much. They have to put a stop to all this, most players come back either injured or very tired.

Re: November International Break
I don't necessarily want them gone forever, i prefer if they still played some friendlies, but just a very small number of matches. And not a damn break every month

Okay. Thanks for the info. My knowledge on Jenkinson's early international career is not great. Done a bit of research on it now in addition to your knowledge.
I don't think you can play for two senior teams anymore - regardless of it being a friendly. But again, not entirely sure. If you find the Finland u-21 squad please tell me and I will add it to the list. Though I expect Arsenal.com to have it up soon too.

Re: November International Break
From Wiki:
Friendly match appearances do not commit a player to one country; Jermaine Jones played several friendlies for Germany in 2008 but has played for the United States since 2010. A second instance is English-born defender Alex Bruce, who has two caps for the Republic of Ireland in official friendly matches, and following a successful summer 2011 application to FIFA he received approval to represent Northern Ireland in future. A FIFA Player's Status Committee is responsible for making such judgements.
So yeah, you can, you just have to tell FIFA first.

So Jenkinson is away with Finland u-21. Explains everything.
Re: November International Break
Adam Barton (Derby) represented Northern Ireland in a friendly and still has the choice between England and NI, so just to confirm Jay's info. about being able to represent a country at senior level as long as it isn't competitive.
I would like Jenkinson to represent England, it might help develop him further however it looks likely he'll choose Finland.

Re: November International Break
Gotze and Ozil Set to Start - Low
Germany coach Joachim Low has hinted that the highly-rated pair of Mario Gotze and Mesut Ozil will start together when Germany face the Ukraine on Friday.
Low has previously struggled to find room for the talented midfielders in his 4-2-3-1 system, but he is pondering an experiment with two central midfielders in Kiev and Gotze and Ozil could therefore be given the opportunity to prove they can cohabit.
"The tendency is towards them both playing," revealed the Germany coach at a press conference in Hamburg today.
"I will just wait and see our final training session on Thursday and then I will decide who will actually start."
Low is without the injured pair of Marco Reus and Miroslav Klose and their absences have thrown a spanner in the works.
The Germany coach was hoping to get a closer look at Reus, who only recently made his senior national team debut, while the Lazio striker was set to partner Mario Gomez in a two-man attack.
"I had planned on Klose and Reus being available," he admitted.
"The plan was for them to both start, but now they will join the squad on Saturday."
Low will instead try out another variant.
"We can afford to make experiments," said Low, whose side came through Euro 2012 qualification with a perfect record of 10 wins out of 10.
"We have a generation of young players who are already very advanced in their development.
"These players are ambitious, but composed at the same time."
Meanwhile, Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler will make his debut in goal as Manuel Neuer is given a break.
Neuer will join the squad on Saturday for their friendly against the Netherlands next Tuesday, although his Bayern Munich team-mate and national team captain Philipp Lahm will not play a part in either game as he is given a break by Low.
Ozil, Gotze, Per Mertesacker and Sami Khedira can also expect breaks over the next week.
"The players who are involved in the DFB-Pokal or the Champions League will not play for 90 minutes in both matches," said Low.

Vermaelen surprised to lose armband
Thomas Vermaelen has revealed he was shocked to discover he is no longer the captain of Belgium.
Vermaelen has endured two lengthy spells on the sidelines through injury that have restricted his playing time for both Arsenal and his country Belgium.
Vermaelen was named skipper of Belgium in 2009 and had expected to wear the captain's armband once more upon his return to the international fold for the friendlies against Romania and France.
However, Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany, who also leads his club, will remain as skipper of Georges Leekens' team.
Vermaelen said: "I still thought I was going to be captain. I had not expected that, I found it a great honour to be captain of my country so of course I am disappointed that I will no longer carry the armband.
"Even though I was absent for a long time, I thought I would be his captain. I have not talked with Vincent about it, but I don't need to."
Leekens chose not to discuss the issue, but said: "I am very happy he is back, he remains the standard bearer of the national side and is one of seven or eight players that will lead the Red Devils ahead of the 2014 World Cup."

I can't see him playing for England ...too many good players in front of him. Micah Richards,Glen Johson, Kyle Walker then you got the likes of Kelly,Smalling etc
At least it keeps him fresh for us

The England U21's beat Iceland U21 5-0 this evening. Chamberlain set-up the last goal of the night. He looked bright in patches and had a number of shots from distance.
I'd say he performed pretty well overall.
