Is City a ''heroic'' version of Chelsea? Empty Is City a ''heroic'' version of Chelsea?

Post by Grande_Milano Mon Oct 24, 2011 8:48 pm

I bet a lot of people before and then hate Chelsea, just like me. A mafia goon who built club in 1 season, *bleep* players, arrogant coach and boring style of play-perfect villain. City is kinda other way around-they play attractive football, they have harismatic (sometimes mad) coach, cool players like Balotelli Twisted Evil and they didnt steal any money, plus they built like since 2007, so it was not a rise to the top in one go.

And they purge your favourite villains 6-1 for fun

In the CL they have been mehstastic and thumping minnows or 10 men teams in the PL isn't my idea of sexy football. My memory is still on 4 DM grindfests from all of last season.

Take Silva out of that team and they go back to the 90 min sleep sessions.

Although the same can be said of van Persie and Arsenal banana

Villa is a shadow of its former self. As I said, beating PL minnows doesn't do it for me considering how shit they've been in the CL.

If they can continue the goal rampage all season long then call me impressed.

Weird thread. Chelsea qualified for the Champions League (twice) before Roman's money and had won more trophies than any other club apart from Arsenal, Liverpool and United during the Zola, Di Matteo, Poyet etc era.

We were also regarded as the side that played the most attractive football in English football at the time.

City were a relegation side ffs.

Do your homework bro.

Very frustrating that people wrongly think we were a midtable club before Abramovich took over.

I have nothing against Chelsea or City TBH.

As for City playing good football, I personally think they've been playing very very well.

Were they really shit in the UCL though? Drew Napoli, who also drew Bayern, got beaten by Bayern but really not humiliated, and they might still be one of the most in-form teams in Europe.

Let's wait and see.

I still don't like those big-spending clubs, but it's not like Chelsea, Real, Barca, Inter, Milan or ManU spend a lot less, some even more. :coffee:

While agree that City play great football you have to keep in mind that their last three goal at OT were on the counter.

Still great though.

they wouldnt have scored 3 of them goals if Vidic was playing with Jones. De gea shouldnt have let the 5th and 6th one in either.

But I have to admit City have been playing excellent football this season.
