i think we should all withhold judgement until the beginning of next season. all this chatter means nothing until we actually see him play.
he has a lot of recovery ahead of him, though he has made much progress already.

Higuain silents all doubters scores a bucket load of goals....
season ends....
starts all over
wow.....
all i have 2 say is 80+ goals before he is 25
he has a better scoring record than Raul
Even if Higuain scores more in La Liga than Raul atleast Raul scored more than 4 goals in CL. Higuains total goals in CL is 4. And now that we are one of the giants in Europe we cant have a striker that cant score outside of La Liga. We dont need someone that makes unnecessary hattricks against Levante, we do have Ronaldo for that.
Benzema alone this season scored 6 goals, and Aguero has scored a brace against Barca and 1 time against Chelsea. Aguero is what Real Madrid need, a striker that scores in La Liga, in Europe and against Barca.
And that's why Higuain wont work.
it's not just about Aguero that he is able to score against Barcelona. Pathetico is Pathetico, Real Madrid is Real Madrid. Barca always play their best game against us, if we've had Aguero he'd struggle to score against them too. you get it ? there is a different between us and them.
Don't you think as soon as Pathetico gets the lead Barca tries their best again? It's still about winning the league, not playing football. And it's Pathetico, he doesn't have someone like Özil who can play the ball forward for him, he has to do most of it alone. And he does it in an excellent fashion.
you have mentioned Ozils name but forgot that he used to be so useless against Barca but anyway, Aguero is their best player, he acts like a Messi or Ronaldo for them, almost all of Patheticos duty is on Agueros shoulders. if we've had Aguero he wouldn't be our "HERO". he will be just a forward. just like Higuain. also Higuain is a better poacher comparing to Aguero.

Re: Higuain's bad form....
the whole Kun vs barca thing, is just a matter of his individual skills bieng deadly against them. Higuain is a poacher, the needs assists. Aguero is a complete forward that can hold onto the ball as much as he wants and beat people while running forward. He sucks up a lot of attention when he runs, and he is extremely fast.

why would he not be able to do the same thing? He is effective in small spaces, can hold on to the ball long enough to get his team mates move up and he makes good runs. those are skills we desperately need against barca, we cant counter every time we get the ball, player like Kun with good support would help us pin them down.

The thing is that if Aguero does good in Madrid, he will surely get a starting place in Argentina. Especially if he scores against Barca.

Senor Penguin wrote:+1.Crimson wrote:St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:Crimson wrote:St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:He does have a poor touch tho.
By bad passer, he meant that Higuain doesnt integrate himself as well as benzema for ex, in the build up, with short and quick touches to get the ball going.
Higuain is actually good at crossing the ball, he grabs his fair share of assists every season.
He has one of the best first touches in our team tbf
You can't be a good poacher and not have a good first touch it simply makes no sense. Especially when on form Higuain has one of the best first touches around. Just take a look at some of his highlights.
As for his passing Higuain maintained a 78.05% pass completion last season. For a poor passer of the ball thats pretty amazing lol
Let's look at standards here, we are talking about players of his class, so the upper echelon. He has a decent touch, nothing exceptional, nothing like Ozil or Benzema.
Chicharito is a poacher but he has an awful touch for ex. I actually noticed that his touches are often a bit long, and he makes up for it with his pace, not the greatest trapper of the ball. He loses a lot of balls out of his first touch actually.
I dont think statistics would be useful here, making a 5 yard pass to the closest player over and over doesnt make you a good passer. It's difficult to talk about the quality of his passing as if we are comparing Xabi and Sahin, he just is never in those situations where he has to open up the game. But in terms of how well he gets into the team movements and acts as a pivot for other players, i think Benzema is quite ahead of him. It's just not his style, no biggie.
Agree to disagree
I have yet to see Benzema do some of the things Higuain has with his first touch, until I do I will remain skeptical.
In any case thats not what the OP was getting into.
What I really hate about some Madrid fans in particular is that as soon as we are linked to a certain player, in this case Aguero, they feel the need to put down and dismiss our current players in that position. Discredit their accomplishments and achievements and the effort and sacrifice that they have put in for our club. It annoys the living shit out of me.
Fair enough if the payer is actually terrible ie Drenthe. But this is not the case. It's not like we had trouble scoring goals last season. Our strikers are fine. Same thing happened with Sahin I saw people start to put down Khedira. It does not need to be done.
Support the team and the players for what they have done and achieved. 29 goals last season from Higuain and coming back 2 months before scheduled to help the team out this season from a very serious and complicated back surgery, should be supported by us. Do not put him down ffs.
Benzema after all the crap in the first half of the season showing grit and determination to come through with 26 goals for us, is in itself a huge feat.
Credit where it is due. Just because we may or may not get Aguero does not justify shit talking about our own players for no real reason at all.
Easily the best post in our section since the start of the forum.

It's the other way around. Argentina are very lucky that they have Higuain. None of the others were able to step up for the goals in the World Cup. Embarrassing for a team of such quality.St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:have you seen the people ahead of him in argentina? Messi and tevez.

Reminds me of Real Madrid's galactiflop era. So much quality and yet such a poor execution when needed.

didn't he play pretty awesome in clasico la liga home, helping us equalise when we're down to 10 man? also in final CDR, didn't he manage to create at least 3 goal scoring chances?

Argentina are atleast, on paper, on-par with Real Madrid. Our club is notorious for signing big name players without gaining any success from it. How would Aguero be any different and how is he better than Higuain? You can only speculate.
So far Aguero has done ... Nothing. He's not a Real Madrid player, hasn't proven himself as a Real Madrid player and can't even be compared to Higuain -- who should be hailed as a God for what he has accomplished at this tender age and with the competition around at a club full of craze.

PLUS FRAKKIN 1
P.S iam sorry for invading your section like this but it disappoints me how Higuian gets treated sometimes he has saved Madrid from losing or drawing on so many occasions. Last season he scored 13 goals and 6 assists in 25 games despite clearly not being fit.
If he leaves then he become one of those player's you dont realise that you will miss him and then BAM ! it hit's you.
One of the best poacher's around and your doubting him?

Aguero has proven himself both against Chelsea, Barca and Real. Three European giants and he has scored against everyone of them. He even scored a brace against Barca. He is always there in big games when his team needs him.
Higuain is good, but Aguero will fill the gap we need, apparantly Mourinho agrees.
