reminds me of the Italian bench after Cassano scored the winner vs Bulgaria in 2004 thinking they made it out of the group and started dancing around, unaware that Sweden scored a second goal vs Denmark that put them out.

AFCON regulations are outdated and retarded, based on goal difference Niger should be 3rd, as well as the officiating was below par during the entire group stages.

However Bafana Bafana should have won their last game , you know whats even more retarded was the fact that we used time wasting tactics, anyway hope Pitso gets the axe as well as his entire technical team.

Egypt is the biggest disappointment of all time. Missed 2 easy WC qualifiers. Got rapped in 2012 qualifiers. When they are clearly the best african team on a good day.

just saw Nigeria conceded an injury time equalizer at hom vs Guinea which denied them qualification.

would love to seee the goal and reaction.

Remember when Cameroon played missed 90 min penalty vs Ivory Coast in 2006 qualifiers and then had to leave the country for a while Very Happy

or Egypt's 95th min goal vs Algeria 2 years ago

"Coach Pitso Mosimane admitted he had changed tactics and played for a draw in Saturday's final qualifier at home to Sierra Leone, thinking it was enough to win the group and qualify for the 2012 finals.

However, South Africa actually needed a win to avoid being eliminated on head-to-head results between the three teams tied at the top of the table, but no one appeared to have studied the regulations correctly."

:lol!: Going into a game not intending to go for a win is indeed a major fail XD

The CAF's head to head rule has been in place for over 5 years now, South Africa have no one to blame but themselves, Ghana could have qualified with a draw or a narrow defeat away to Sudan but we went there and won!

South Africa foolishly assumed, they'd qualify with a draw and were making defensive substitutions in the match they were drawing with minutes left on the clock. They should learn their lessons, instead of blaming CAF, I can't remember the last time South Africa qualified for a major tournament, they even failed to qualify for the World Cup they hosted!

Our 'keeper (Khune) was a disgrace. Twice he went down faking an injury to his hamstring to waste time. He would rile around in pain slamming the ground and acting as if he'd broken a leg. Then he'd get up after a while and point to an imaginary watch to the crowd informing them he's just time wasting. He even got the CB to come and take a goal kick for him.

There were 4 minutes of injury time and 3 of these minutes were spent with the medical team giving him treatment on the field. For this 3 minutes of time wasting only an additional 30 seconds were played. Sierra Leone were pissed and rightly so. It was symbolical.

It was like Ronaldo to the power of Drogba to the power of Robben to the power of Diouf on the c*nt meter. Serves us right to *bleep* it up so royally that a draw actually wasn't good enough!

Please don't insult my intelligence by stereotyping South Africans. We have the misfortune in our country that via nepotism and favouritism, people are able to obtain top administrative jobs. Any sort of administration in South Africa including sports administration is not a true reflection of the entire country's capacity.

Oops apologies if it came in the wrong way.I was referring to South African sport teams (Cricket and Football) not to the entire South African Nation.

I mean they made similar stupidity in calculations to get knocked out in cricket world cup in 2003 and again to get knocked out in football by messing simple calculations is really funny tbh.
