Re: Brazil > South Africa
Yeah.... teams are going for it as opposed to playing cautiously. Finally ffs.
FIFA needs to stop adding teams to the WC. It waters down the competition. It took YEARS for the quality to catch up with the extra teams. I hope they just keep the numbers as they are.

This would be 10/10 at this point if not for a handful of awful refereeing decisions, but it's still 9/10 in my book. Fantastic stuff.

By game 7 in the past WC only 9 goals have been scored. In this WC: 25.

I feel we have jinxed the World Cup and will only see 0-0 and 1-0 matches now

You're fault brah.
Everyone get the pitchforks out and poke M99 repeatedly until we see a 6-5 game tbh.

Re: Brazil > South Africa
I think the fact that it's played in Brazil has a lot to do with it... teams want to play good football there. But ironically, Brazil NT don't play attractive footy anymore
Probably the least attractive team so far with Uruguay.

When Brazil gets into their stride it's great to watch. Like Oscar's chance which the Croatian keeper saved, that was some beautiful play. It's no 82 level stuff but it's far from boring.

Re: Brazil > South Africa
I've been watching the World Cup since 94, and the world cup in South Africa was the worse one I've ever seen. So this WC achieving that feat wasn't going to be hard.
I'm just thankful there is no Vuvuzelas forcing me to mute the TV.
This World Cup- so far so good.

That Iran v Nigeria match has brought this world cup down a few notches

Re: Brazil > South Africa
Well, today one other pen for the Dutch wasn't given, so in that case those two penalty (not)calls evened out.

Re: Brazil > South Africa
I gotta agree. All games are full with high intensity, tension and beautiful goals. I mean I like goals but not the ones from kindergardgen like mistakes. In this WC, teams have play out of their skin to score but when they do it's beautiful footy

Re: Brazil > South Africa
2006 better for me. They had some great games in the latter stages of the tournament as well.Ita vs Ger is semi Arg vs Ger in QF and Fra vs Spa.
Will have to see how the latter stage matches this time.Could easily fizzle out like 2002 considering the quality of teams so far imo
