That goal was scored in an Emirates Cup game.....So i had my doubts on whether it would be counted as an official goal......Otherwise who can forget this beauty??

But what's the Description called?
From his list of 100 goals.......
This isn't an official goal it was scored in a friendly and doesn't count!
When RVP has scored so many good official goals, then what is the need for friendly goals?

If he gets his free kicks back on track then he'll be even more of a threat. Hope to see him be with the Golden Boot.
My favorite goal was probably the Barca one because of how he scored it and what it meant

Yeah just seeing Wenger that happy is nice. And have you noticed that Fabregas did the same thing after scoring his stunner against Milan? ran right to Wenger hugging and crying.

Re: Robin Van Persie's Best Goals for Arsenal
Despite Arsenal's awful UCL record(at least for non-Arsenal fans),Arsenal does score a lot of stunners esp in the UCL a la Henry vs. Prague, Walcott vs. Villareal,Cesc vs. Milan, the list goes on.......

Re: Robin Van Persie's Best Goals for Arsenal
I can not speak highly enough of Robin.
He is simply a world class striker. I'm so happy for him. You could see how much it meant for him when he scored the 100th goal yesterday.
Heres to another 100.

Amazing stat compilation SriG......What is more amazing is that he managed to score 6 headers (I remember him scoring 2 in a FA Cup game)
Some More On RVP:
Left Feyenoord to join Arsenal since he was at loggerheads with the then coach of Feyernoord Bert van Marwijk, who is the present coach of the Netherlands NT
At school, van Persie was one of the most misbehaved kids and was excluded from class almost daily.

agree.. that is the best moment which comes in my moment when i think about him... And i have not seen Wenger as happy as that anytime.. If RVP stays fit throughout the season.. No doubt.. He will be the topscorer...ernie_schwarz wrote:srigooner wrote:MJGunner wrote:If he gets his free kicks back on track then he'll be even more of a threat. Hope to see him be with the Golden Boot.

lmao @ the purchase price being nearly half the asking price. Typical brilliant Wenger.

A fully fit RvP will get you 30-35 goals a season. He is at his peak now too. I would imagine that he'd hit 200 goals in 4 seasons from now if he managed to stay fit and stay at Arsenal.

Re: Robin Van Persie's Best Goals for Arsenal
Van Persie has 69 league goals, so he's a bit behind Henry's goalscoring record.
Still, if he stays fit he should easily get 20-25 league goals this year. If he stays with us for a couple more years - I dread to say it, but this could be his last season given his contract situation - then he'll get 100 league goals, which would be a great acheivement.
I'm hoping that he can be like Bergkamp or Del Piero, in that, he'll still be a very effective player when he's older due to his intelligence and technical ability.
Of course, he has to sign a new contract first.

i can definitely see him surpass Bergkamp if he stays fit, in terms of goals of course.
Re: Robin Van Persie's Best Goals for Arsenal
RVP just needs to get a few more goals and he'll be 4th highest goalscorer ever
