Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
A Juventus representative side comprised of players who did not start Wednesday's draw with Bologna hit 14 goals against Serie D outfit Lascaris as the Turin giants began preparations for Sunday's trip to Catania, Tuttosport reports.
The Pianezza-based side faced a team including Fabio Quagliarella and Luca Toni in attack. Both Italy internationals staked their claim for a place in the starting XI on Sunday, with Quagliarella claiming six of the goals, and Toni four.
Eljero Elia also scored twice, with Marco Motta and Luca Marrone completing the rout.
In what was a strong line-up, Antonio Conte also sent Fabio Grosso, Arturo Vidal and Leonardo Bonucci to face the minnows. They were given a full run out with the exception of Vidal, who only featured in the first half after playing against Bologna.

Elia actually uses his right foot 95% of the time when he's on the left lol. He isn't very good left footed. He manages to play better LM than RM

Re: Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
thats fine with me Pasquale. As long as he is not confined to palying at only the left, then he and krasic can switch and add something to the offence. Like ribery--robben @ Bayern, just not as good

Re: Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
Sounds good mate, it could b devastating . Elia on the right side is better than krasic on the left. Elia plays better out of position than krasic if that makes any sense, well I don't like krasic so it could just b me but on the left he's never done well . But if he proved me wrong they could b DEVASTATING

Re: Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
That is simply because Krasic is a pure winger.
Elia prefers the left because he is actually right footed becoming an inverted winger, looking to take defenders to the inside and having a shot (although he is more than capable of going outside)
Krasic's goal is to beat defenders down the line and cross a ball in. He does this with great success while on form, it has nothing to do with being predictable or anything like that, speed kills, case closed.

Re: Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
agree on that last point Luca.
Krasic has a direct style that when he is on top of his game is impossible to deal with. Speed, close control, good crossing. Not to mention an eye for goals coming from the weak side... (im thinking of that tap in he had when he almost smashed his face against the post last season)

Yes u r right luca, krasic is a pure winger however on Elia I think you are false. He doesn't look to cut inside and shoot. He plays the ball down the line and looks to cut towards the edge of the box and pick out a cross, either low or high. His dribbling skills in close is magnificent which adds alot to his game. Unlike krasic he doesn't always look to beat the defender with speed over long distances. He's more than capable to do it over a short space while he is also very good at long distance solo runs. Similar to what krasic does. Elia's crossing and link up play is alot more effective than krasic I believe

He most work on his finishing, it is one of his weaker areas of play.
He blew one too many goals last season that were scorable but the work he put in leading up to those tries must be noted too.

That's true, some of the runs he did were amazing. Dude words can't explain my joy at Elia being a juventino. U will all enjoy his time at juve. Left wing will b his for the taking

Re: Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
I hope so.
I didn't mean to say that Elia will always look to shoot before either I am just saying that is one of the positives of inverted wingers as Robben brilliantly shows time and time again.

Re: Juventus 14-0 Lascaris
Cool I understand. Elia actually rarely looks to shoot but like u said it is a very positive factor about an inverted winger. Any good chance he gets to shoot he should take
