Re: Lavezzi vs Ribery
Lavezzi is a good player, but Ribéry is in GOD form right now, and has been in great form ever since last season. I mean truly world class form, terrorizing right backs all over the planet. He's not so much the speed demon as he was before, but he's a much more smarter, tactical player. And he has loads and loads of end product, which Lavezzi needs to improve on.

Re: Lavezzi vs Ribery
both play in different positions too..Lavezzi plays as an SS whilst Ribery plays as a winger..So its an unfair comparision i would say..

Re: Lavezzi vs Ribery
I think this is alot closer than people think. I think Ribery is better, and hes really showing whats he made of now again, but remember that while Cavani ges all the praise, Lavezzi is the reason Cavani gets all those chances. Lavezzi is also world class, but Ribery is better. But its not as one-sided as people think.

Ribery is.
Saying that, Lavezzi is criminally underrated. But then again, he doesn't play for a "big" team so sounds about right.

Exactly this.
Everytime i watch Napoli Lavezzi is the one who stands out but the praise always goes to Cavani or worse to Hamsik.

Re: Lavezzi vs Ribery
Funny how people now are going apeshit over Ribery now that he is actually living up to his expectations.
Plus Lavezzi possesses far more dimension in his game with his passing, vision and creativity while Ribery who is effective in his own right, is mostly reliant on his pace and is a better team player.
ATM, yes Ribery is better but not by a considerable distance like some put it.
I guess you haven't seen the recent Bundesliga bias wagon

Serie A fans rate him very highly..He was quite deadly last season and continuing his superb form this season as well...He was generally known to be a very selfish player but last season he improved in the team ethic aspect as well and it reflected on his form the past season..If only he improved his finishing he would be far more devastating in my opinion and would have perhaps drawn comparisions to the likes of Aguero.
That is where Cavani becomes ever so important to the team..He is probably the best centre forward in the world at the moment and in my opinion this Napoli team would struggle to bang in goals without Cavani's lethal finishing ability as Lavezzi is all about flair and creativity but his finishing lets him down.Cavani deserves all the praise he's getting..No Cavani No Party..

Re: Lavezzi vs Ribery
You are right, he sucked the last two season.... but please tell me one player who was 'dead' and altough made 23 assists and 11 goals in in 38 games (last season)
