Re: Seria A salaries 2011/2012
Flamini has taken a wage cut of 50%, as have others though I can't remember their specifics; they're not current wages.
Not to mention that 160 million seems to have been pulled out of the air from what I see, unless our janitors are being turned into millionaires.

160m is what Milan has to pay with taxes and all that shit, numbers below is what players get. I think.
Flamini took 50% wage cut? Link? Isnt this his last year of contract? When did he extended?

Searching for a link at the moment, though perhaps the 2.25 million refers to what he gets after taxes, however the article was very clear that his wages were being reduced to this figure from 4.5 million. I think it might have happened just before we switched forums, pity I can't just search for a thread.

The article was from before his injury. Unfortunately googling a Flamini contract renewal leads to every article from 2008 about his move from Arsenal popping up. Still searching.

Re: Seria A salaries 2011/2012
Which media has done this research?
I just find it a bit weird that someone would get a hold of information about every club's every player's wages.
I guess it could be pretty accurate, though.

I was fairly certain that the renewal was made around this time, however this summary on the official website doesn't mention Flamini. http://www.acmilan.com/en/news/show/134393
I remember it quite clearly though. Keeps digging. :study:

Both in the final year of their contract, as are Amauri and Iaquinta. Interesting, isn't it? Flamini was brought in on a free transfer and in the form of his career which boosted his wage. As for the others, bad negotiating...

La Gazzetta dello Sport
They do it bi-annually and their figures are respected and used by football writers world wide.

He hasn't renewed and is still at 4.5m. You may have read a minimum appearance clause which knocks it down?

Re: Seria A salaries 2011/2012
Can't find anything other than pictures of Flamini looking great in sunglasses at the moment, I concede the point, but am mostly in awe of the man's ability to wear a suit
I've spent two months thinking he took a wage cut. Well done, Dostoevsky.
On the overall figures, Udinese are doing brilliantly with only 21.7 million. Napoli and Lazio are also worthy of a mention for building their squads relatively cheaply.
Also I just noticed the note on Lecce's wage list, Milan are also contributing to Oddo's wages, I'm assuming that's included in our figures.

Didn't we say the same thing last year? Yet we offered contracts to each of our players and the only one of our old guard who left was the player who rejected our offer....

Di Natale and Hernanes also both make less than Bonera
and we wonder why Inter and Milan have some financial issues

i wonder how much di natale makes compared to the rest of the team, especially now that sanchez is gone.... after all, antonio does carry the team at times

Re: Seria A salaries 2011/2012
how the hell do we pay 145 for a squad like that ! and why are we paying chivu and cordoba 3.5m ? maicon 4 ! we should have sold him for free
but then again thats about 30m in wages reduced from the triple season so at least we're improving. We should get rid of alot of dead wood next season so im somehow optimistic

Inter's wages for instance add up to 60 mill, why the hell is the number 145?

i think milan are still the scudetto favorites with juve having a outside chance, having a new stadium+players
i don't think inter will win it this season, no offense. but neither will roma either
