Drenthe: "Madrid changes managers like candy"
Royston
Drenthe The former Real Madrid player said Wednesday in his debut as
Everton to Real Madrid "changes to their coaches like candy."
"Real
Madrid was one of the best teams in the world with a mix of young
players and veterans. We were better than Barcelona, but the team was
broken and the situation has changed a lot," said Dutch midfielder.
"They
changed the coach (Bernd Schuster) and changed back again and again.
Changes like candy, is normal at Real Madrid, although I learned a lot
there," said Drenthe, who played three seasons with the white team.
The
midfielder, 24, spent last season on loan at Heracles and came to
Goodison Park just before it closed the market after summer white coach,
Jose Mourinho, would discard to join the staff of the Madrid this season.
"I
am very happy to have taken this step, I think is very important to
me," said Drenthe in his presentation to the media, to emphasize that
work hard to demonstrate their quality.
About his way to Real Madrid, Holland recalled how his first year at the time the club was "more enjoyable."
"I learned a lot from players like Fabio Cannavaro, Raul, Michel Salgado, Guti, Robinho and Wesley Sneijder," listed the player.
Drenthe
stressed that the only option that was raised this summer was signing
for an English club since the Premier League is "one of the best leagues
in the world," said Drenthe.
"Spanish
football is very good, but every year the same teams win, Barcelona or
Madrid. This is different, you can never be sure which team will win,"
said the Dutchman.

Sure, Manu will not win this year either
Though one has to agree that with all the big names in England right now, it looks on paper more interesting then in Spain.

Maybe if he focused on training instead of what ever the hell this is he would be better off.

Really? He didn't mention schuster by then. And how did Real Madrid get "broken" with schuster. They were never that good under him, it was just that all the other were worse..

Yes I started supporting Barca after the 2-6 at the Bernabeu. That's why I was cheering for barca when we went 6 season without a trophy.
I might be wrong, but aint you a chelsea supporter?

We were good enough under Schuster but then he left and Juande Ramos came and messed up everything.

He was clearly telling about the 2007-2008 season when we were miles better than barcelona.
