Good post Forza and I agree with you. Finally someone with a good comeback to my post and we can have a debate. Yes, I agree that Milan have more clout, that is for sure. I also believe that Aquliani would have had no problem coming back to Juve at a reduced price. As for the transfer fee, that is pure genius by Galliani, getting him for 6m ONLY if he plays 25 games, that is a stroke of genius. Only Galliani can pull a move like that. And notice how he did it, he waited until the last days when nobody else was bidding for Aquliani and also I am sure he was smart enough to understand that Liverpool did not really want him back. Liverpool was always going to sell Aquilani, and a smart guy like Galliani knew this, so he waited until the appropriate time and then swopped after him and got a helluva deal.

The fact that Milan can make these kind of moves because they have "clout" and Juve can't just shows what a dire situation we are really in. How are we ever gonna finish in a CL spot if we are signing no names from South America and Serie C1 players, when Milan are signing national team players for the same cost or less. We are never gonna be able to close the gap this way, that is my fear.

Forget the Marotta crap and all the bashing and forget the Moggi crap, I am talking about MY JUVENTUS. That doesn't include Marotta because Marotta may not be around in a year. I am talking about the state of my team for the future, for the next 5-10 years or more. I am worried that we are falling behind again, we are not progressing and we are gonna stay a mid table team for years to come. Are other people not worried about this, or is it always the case that you have to say good things about Marotta no matter what he does just to show that you are a loyal and devoted fan? The fact that I am loyal and devoted is the reason why I am so upset right now. It has nothing to do with wanting to bash Marotta because I hate him. It has everything to do with the fact that I LOVE my Juventus and, irregardless of Marotta, I want my Juventus to succeed. I don't want us to sign average players to sit on the bench, I want us to sign champions to be able to compete with the Milanisti teams.

This is the last week of the summer mercato, where we can make or break our season based on a key signing or two, and Juventus is signing no name players from South America and Milan is signing national team players. That is the difference and that is why I am so upset. Sorry, I guess I am taking loving my Juventus too seriously. Maybe I should just sit back and not really care anymore because it is becoming too unbearabloe for me to think of another wasted season.

Anyways, nice debate and thanks for being honest about our current state and about Moggi.

I think exactly the same way, believe it or not I think all Juventus fans do. We worry about our relavance, our future; there is no massive difference in the way we all view things, even if the arguments hint otherwise.

We just all deal with adversity in different ways. Some are wildly optimistic, some overly pessimistic, some of us (me included) continue only on hope. I realise we were promised top players, players of a level that haven't arrived and I too look around at the other operations going on in the market, the massive moves, the exciting players, the generally great deals and indeed.... there is a degree of 'penis envy' so to so to speak. Smile

But alas, I continue as I do not because I'm blind or because I don't care, but because it makes getting out of bed that little easier. As they say it's a case of 'laughing to stop from crying'.

I'm being a little melodramatic though, it's not quite that bad, but of we have a another season like the last two then Christ it might well be!

Right now I'm optimistic, as I said in my other post, had top players never been mentioned this market would be a commendable undertaking. As it is Marotta shot himself in the foot.

Well said Forza. Yes, indeed we all seem to handle things a bit differently I guess. Some like to justify even the bad signings just to show their devotion and faith, some like to call out Marotta for things that are not even his fault just to show they are bashing him for the love of Juventus. And some people, and I like to think I fall into this category, just like to call it the way they see it.

I said that I liked the Vidal signing but I didn't like the fact that we got rid of Melo. Pirlo was a good signing and I said that from day one. I hated the Vucinic signing because I felt we had a shot at a superior player in Rossi and Rossi wanted to come here. But at the end of the day we seemed to be 5m short for some reason. But then that 5m is available to get an average player from Cesena.

We spent 27m last year on Bonucci and Martinez, and now it looks like both players will be shipped out after only one year at major discounts. So I call Marotta out on that and what response do I get? Oh, I am simply Marotta bashing and Moggi made mistakes too. That is the comeback I get for stating the truth.

Yes, we all are dealing with this and coping in different ways. All of us are different in the way we look at things. We should all respect others' opinions though, and I am the first one who should follow that advice. I respect everyone's opinions, but I just cannot accept what is happening to my Juventus right now. I am not happy with the last couple of weeks of the summer mercato and what is happening right now. Let's see what transpires when the season begins. I am hopeful of a good year but I am not going to be overly optimistic. I just don't see a big improvement from last year's team. But hopefully for the sake of my Juventus I am proved wrong...

Nope, I don't see the point. The point I see is, To all those people who claimed that Cassani was leaving for 16m ! I'm right once again. I said he was going to leave for 6m, not 16m. Great now were stuck with Lichstiener and Fiorentina get the better deal. Overpaid for Licsteiner, 12m! 10m ! Whatever! OMFG 5M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked

Nobody ever learns

Madonna mia aiutami. Non posso continuare cosi.

First, Danilo goes for the same price as Lichtsteiner, and now Cassani goes for half the cost of Lichtsteiner.

I tried Devi, I really did, but for God's sake, can somebody bring back Moggi ?

Nick, I am trying to hold back right now, but it is really hurting me inside to do it. I am forcing myself to tow the company line and wait for the start of the season. It is literally killing me inside. I understand what you are saying bro, I really do.

I think the last straw for me is the fact that Cassani is going to Fiorentina for 5m. Aquilani going to Milan for 6m is also a low point, but the Cassani deal is throwing me over the edge too. Not to mention we are getting rid of Bonucci and Martinez at fire sale prices when Marotta only brought them in last year. For a team with a limited budget, 27m is alot of money to throw away. It's not like we are ManShitty and can just throw away that money. We could have used that money to buy Aguero or Rossi.

Is Licht really worth double what Cassani is worth? Really??

I only consider him average because he is being sold for 500k. Is any player being sold for 500k better than average?? Or is Marottta somehow stealing this player away from under everyone's nose?? Maybe Marotta sees in him what others do not. Who knows. I guess we will soon find out...

Oh Pino, the list of problems and screw ups goes on and on and on.

Lichtsteiner is not worth double Cassani, if Marotta had waited, he could have gotten him for cheap. He is a clown brother, plain and simple.

I think you are right, but it is not the section that is a lost cause, it is the people running the team. Juventus will be forever in everyone's hearts, but what is going on right now is so troublesome it is literally unbearbale. It is no longer Juventus unfortunately, it is nothing of what I have watched for 20 some years. Juventus is no more, we are now being over matched and out smarted in the transfer market by low budget and mid table teams. This is the worst state that I have seen Juventus in all my time following the club.

But for the sake of the forum and you Dejan, I will stop posting now. It is just simply not worth it for me to continue any longer. I will come back and lurk and see what happens at the start of the season, but the last few weeks have been extra-ordinarily frustrating for me. Buying average or below average players at inflated prices, selling last year's starters for pennies on the dollar, it is the exact opposite of what used to happen. But the worst part is watching the other teams, even mid table teams, getting top quality players at below cost.

Gianni Agnelli is turning in his grave right now. His Juventus is a lost cause, thrown away by Calciopoli, bad ownership from his so called nephews, and bad managers who have thrown away millions of FIAT dollars for garbage players. And of course who can forget the 4 coaches who have come and gone since Calciopoli, and now we have a Serie B coach who is supposed to take us to the promised land....

+1 goes to Pino. Exactly what is happening. It is not us who are to blame, it is Juventus. Honestly, I and the Torino population would not complain about things if Marotta and the club did not create things to complain ABOUT.

You're wrong here. Cassani has played national team, but so has lichtsteiner.. Cassani is double as good as Lichtsteiner offensively, but Lichsteiner is double as good defensively. PDC and Ziegler are offensive and like Barca has Abidal for defensive duties and Alves offensive, we have Lichtsteiner and PDC/Ziegler.. I would like Cassani more then Lichtsteiner, but i think Lichtsteiner is a great addition now that our left side is offensive, and our RW is Krasic. With Krasic allowed to play more as an attacker, Lichtsteiner must cover his back, a role Cassani would NOT fill out half as good as i hope and have strong faith Lichtsteiner will.. Smile
