B.NEWS : Estigarribia: "I'll play in Serie A. Even though I can not say where"
We know short the future of Marcelo Estigarribia. The player, in the last hour approached more frequently to Juventus, according to the newspaper reported "Ultimahora" would arrive in Italy to put his signature on the contract that will bind with a team of Serie A.
The name of the new destination of "Chelo", however, still remains top secret, as explained by the same player at the 'Cardinal Deportivo' just before leaving for the beautiful country:
"They asked me not to name but before the signing everything is already defined. My representatives are in Italy to finalize the details and I already know the nature of the contract: I will arrive on loan with the right of redemption. I am very happy. "

All I know is he was very good in the coppa Am.
I don't know if that's how good he normally is though.

The loan with the right of redemption would seem to point to a classic Marotta deal. Those are his favorite kind of moves.

Interesting. Clearly, we did not have as much money to spend this summer as we initially thought. I never really thought we had the huge budget that everyone said we had to spend. Hopefully, these are smart moves by Marotta.
This transfer market is ending with a whimper.

I have no clue who this guy is. Sure he is cheap at 500k, but we already have a few players who can keep Pepe company on the bench. Why add another one?
But that's okay, as was already mentioned, I kinda had a feeling that the 90m so called budget we had in May was all BS, not to mention the "we're gonna sign champions" schtick we got 3 months ago as well. I knew that this was coming, that we were going to have to be satisfied with mediocre signings and claims that the players we are signing are gonna be the next "Krasic", or the next "Del Piero".
Signing no name players from South America and players who two years ago were playing in Serie C1, that is what the last two weeks have come down to. No Mr. X, no champion, no quality player, nothing...
Meanwhile across the river Galliani is signing national team players for 6m...
To say I am pissed would be a masive understatement...

But Gigi...even if we wanted Aquilani, which we didn't, Liverpool were taking the piss.
It's one deal for Milan and a completely different one for us.
At the end of the day not only do Milan have more clout on the market, but players are willing to sacrifice to join them; Aquilani is open to trimming his wages to join them. Not so for us...
If Moggi came back tomorrow THAT would not change one iota. In direct competition we'd still fail, teams would still try to make us overpay.
The difference would be he'd pluck some obscure guys from Serie B and Lega Pro for minimal sums, with a few random foreigners thrown in for good measure. Some would be crap, some good, some great.
He has a eye for potential that is unsurpassed.
Marotta made big mistakes in last seasons market, for me this time around his only mistake has been mentioning the phrase 'top players'...

Exactly.
And im guessing the complaining will soon start in this forum about Cassani. Since it now seems like he will be joining Fiorentina on loan with a right to buy for a reported 5m. 5 goddamn millions..
Only problem is that Zamparini the asshole probably rejected a much higer Juventus bid.
Not that things like that matters to people here anyway.

Good post Forza and I agree with you. Finally someone with a good comeback to my post and we can have a debate. Yes, I agree that Milan have more clout, that is for sure. I also believe that Aquliani would have had no problem coming back to Juve at a reduced price. As for the transfer fee, that is pure genius by Galliani, getting him for 6m ONLY if he plays 25 games, that is a stroke of genius. Only Galliani can pull a move like that. And notice how he did it, he waited until the last days when nobody else was bidding for Aquliani and also I am sure he was smart enough to understand that Liverpool did not really want him back. Liverpool was always going to sell Aquilani, and a smart guy like Galliani knew this, so he waited until the appropriate time and then swopped after him and got a helluva deal.
The fact that Milan can make these kind of moves because they have "clout" and Juve can't just shows what a dire situation we are really in. How are we ever gonna finish in a CL spot if we are signing no names from South America and Serie C1 players, when Milan are signing national team players for the same cost or less. We are never gonna be able to close the gap this way, that is my fear.
Forget the Marotta crap and all the bashing and forget the Moggi crap, I am talking about MY JUVENTUS. That doesn't include Marotta because Marotta may not be around in a year. I am talking about the state of my team for the future, for the next 5-10 years or more. I am worried that we are falling behind again, we are not progressing and we are gonna stay a mid table team for years to come. Are other people not worried about this, or is it always the case that you have to say good things about Marotta no matter what he does just to show that you are a loyal and devoted fan? The fact that I am loyal and devoted is the reason why I am so upset right now. It has nothing to do with wanting to bash Marotta because I hate him. It has everything to do with the fact that I LOVE my Juventus and, irregardless of Marotta, I want my Juventus to succeed. I don't want us to sign average players to sit on the bench, I want us to sign champions to be able to compete with the Milanisti teams.
This is the last week of the summer mercato, where we can make or break our season based on a key signing or two, and Juventus is signing no name players from South America and Milan is signing national team players. That is the difference and that is why I am so upset. Sorry, I guess I am taking loving my Juventus too seriously. Maybe I should just sit back and not really care anymore because it is becoming too unbearabloe for me to think of another wasted season.
Anyways, nice debate and thanks for being honest about our current state and about Moggi.

Dosen't it seem odd to you that we didn't want Aquilani and yet we were after Poli? And yet we dropped Poli because Sampdoria wanted to much? Now don't get me wrong here, we dropped Aquilani first of all because of his 16m buy out clause. Then as reports suggested and what I said in the past was true, Aquilani was for sale for 6m... and once again we were linked with him, up until Milan got the upper hand. You know what must of really happened, seeing that Milan came knocking on the door, Aquilani had to decide where he wanted to go. Sure reports suggested that he wanted to return to Juve when he spoke to the national team players... however, when Milan came... obviously he would chose them, as for one they are the champions and two we snubbed him. So I highly doubt that we were not after him.
This is why I have to get angry... Marotta had the oppurtunity to sign Aquilani for 6m as vice, what does he do? He lets him go... This is why I praise Galliani for his intelligence within business as he knows how to get great players for cheap prices, once again questioning the logic behind this Marotta rejection.

lol... don't even get me started again with this debate, I'd rather get a loan deal worth 5 million for Cassani which is in fact worth it, rather than spend 10 million on Lichstenier when his value was much lower and no where near that good for being spent all that money.

Sciacca
Did you see my point AT ALL?
Zamparini...
Juve...
Bid...
...
Fiorentina...
Anyway, Lichtsteiner has already proven to be a great addition to the right back.
