Cavani vs. Falcao

Haven't watched much of them, but I think they are like the two most similar strikers around, am I wrong?

So, who of them is better?

well it's close IMO..
both had impressive stats last season..
I'll vote Cavani.. because 26 goals in serie a is quite an achievement..

Cavani by a country mile.

Falcao is more a poacher whereas Cavani is a beast of a man who can with a moment of magic summon a goal out of nowhere. Porto is also much more complete than Napoli.

Both awesome players... but I think Cavani edges it.

I've heard nothing but superb things about Falcao....but what little I saw of him was mostly in the Copa America (where he played pretty well)

I'm going with Cavani by a slight margin just based on how ridiculous he played this year...

If what is said about Falcao is true though....He might be better

My gut says its probably very very close...Not much separating the two either way

But, do you agree they are very similar type of players too?
They even look a bit alike with the haircut and tanned skin...

I'm not sure I've seen quite enough of Falcao to determine how similar they are as players....They most certainly look pretty similar, no question

But for example, from what I've heard about Falcao. he is a superb header of the ball.....and to be honest, while Cavani is 6'3 and I don't think Falcao reaches 6', Cavani isn't brilliant in the air...He's competent, certainly, but not far above average like Falcao is said to be

I've heard from numerous reliable sources that Falcao is more of a poacher, and Cavani better at creating chances for himself.

I watched a LOT of Napoli last year, and I mean, out of his 33 goals maybe 5-7ish were in the air, and to be frank most were not very impressive at all...He had a one or two spectacular ones, the goals vs Fiorentina early in the year and that ludicrous diving header vs Juve, but you don't really see Cavani rising up over defenders and putting a power header into the back of the net very often...

Most of his headers last year were awkward rebounds or when he was unmarked...his placement is decent though, he gets them so low to the point that they look like accidents hahaha

So.....now that the season is over is Cavani still a better player? (based on votes)

Imo Falcao is slightly better.

Cavani vs. Chelsea last season was amazing.

Falcao is probably the better finisher? but Cavani has excellent dribbling skills as well, Cavani could easily play a SS or if forced be, an Attacking Midfielder too

Falcao is the better finisher, but Cavani is the better overall player.

Cavani is a better footballer overall like many have mentioned already, but Falcao isn't far behind.
