He's obviously not referring to Real Madrid ripping Chinese teams apart but the games against Barcelona mainly.

Not only the "average Madrid fan". Mourinho actually does whatever he wants ... A few years ago it would've been unthinkable that someone would remain coach at Real Madrid if they pulled a similar move like Mourinho.

It's just another indicator of how desperate the administration is. Usually they sack coaches like they change socks and now they stick by them through ridiculously crazy times. It's just a jump from one extreme to another.
