Is Aguero man city´s "Cantona"?

Was he the missing piece of the man city puzzle?

Think about it, a player of his calibre playing for city will do following:

1: Attracting more fans
2: Help achieving trophies
3: More going to watch man city play
4: Lifting the clubs appeal

He can be mancity´s cantona or messi or ronaldo.

I think they went from pretenders to contenders with this signing, just remember chelsea before
abramovich not far from man city before ethiad

This is not a kneejerk reaction because of the swansea game, I thought about this the second he joined city.
The swansea match just confirmed some of it imo.

I understand this, but frankly I think he is more than capeable to do the same when they play a mid table or to side aswell.

Don´t forget how he tore bacelona singlehandly apart last season for atletico. (wich I believe he have done on several occasions)

This was also his debut game for a new club in a new league where they only gave him the last 30min to play and he used no time to settle and connect with his team mates, so I think saying "its just swansea" is a bit underwhelming

But to answer your question, I doubt he'll bring them more trophies if Tevez couldn't.

I'm more of a Tevez guy, but sure Aguero could do well. We have to wait and see how he'll do against big teams.

1. If torres hits form he will attract more fans to chelsea, not only is he won of the most popular footballers in the world but when on form hes amazing to watch and absolutley unplayable

2. an on form torres is hands down one of the best forwards in the world

3. pretty much the same as 1.

4. more fans+more people in the stadium+more trophies (1+2+3) = greater appeal towards chelsea

therefore if torres is to find form, which he showed plenty of chance of doing so in the stoke game, then he will become chelseas Cantona

btw not even nearly, in Abromovichs first season at chelsea we finished 2nd (to the invincables) a higher finish then man city have acheived in the entire time the Abu Dhabi group have been involved in city (08-present)

in chelseas second season with abra we won the league, so far all city have won, in a onger time period is an FA cup

I dont mean literary a Cantona, but something similair as he was for us in the mid 90ies

SAF had failed to win anything with a good squad for years before he signed Cantona wich was the last step in the right direction. Thats why Cantona is regarded as highly by man utd fans because after we signed him he lead us to our first glory under SAF.

Similair to man utd, I think aguero can do somewhat the same for city.
